Visit To The Nigeria Office

Below is a recent report of a special youth visit to the VGR Lagos, Nigeria office. All across the world, you can see the desire of the Message believing youth to gather with others of like precious faith, and the desire to know more of this glorious Message and how it is spreading the world over.

December 7th, Saturday 2013 was a memorable day in the lives of a group of young people from "The Bride's Assembly," one of the local churches here in Lagos, Nigeria. This group represents the youth group in the local church called "The Contenders." They adopted this name because of their purpose, which is to contend for the Faith Restored by the Prophet of God to our Age, Brother William Marrion Branham.

They had asked for the schedule to visit the office, and to be able to know more about Voice Of God Recordings, the Prophet, Young Foundations and to spend some time in the office. We scheduled the visit for a Saturday to enable some of them that were in school and those working to have the time to attend. They arrived some few hours later than the time scheduled, due to the heavy rains that started in the late hours of the morning, and the resultant traffic situations that followed. However, when they came, the excitement did not wane, because while entering into the office building, you could see them beaming with smiles on their faces.

I welcomed them into the office, and they were happily seated. We had used the earlier part of the day to set up for the visit. While entering into the office reception, the Voice of the Prophet was being heard singing from the Gospel Songs CD by Voice Of God Recordings. When they were fully seated, we prayed and formally welcomed them again on behalf of Brother Joseph Branham, and the entire Staff of VGR. I told them that this was their office, and they should relax and enjoy themselves in their office. They were very happy to hear that.

I spoke to welcome them and to thank them for spending their rest day to visit the office which was a demonstration of their love for the Message. I also asked them to help us to thank their Pastor, Brother Moses Alu, for their visit. ( He presently has the biggest congregation in Nigeria, and possibly in West Africa, message believing churches, with about Ten Thousand (10,000) believers). I told them how important they are as God’s children and part of His Bride for this end time. I told them they form an important part of our work for the Lord, because Brother Joseph has a strong burden for our young people, resulting in the establishment of the Young Foundations, and also Still Water Camp.

I explained to them what VGR was all about, which was projected from the website. I further explained to them the need to believe ALL what the Prophet has said, and the listening of Tapes, which is what we represent at VGR. Next was the Young Foundations (YF). I projected the website to them, showing them what YF was all about and the various blessings they will derive from the website. I encouraged those who have not yet signed up with YF, to try and do so. I told them about the YF banquets, which a few of them attended our first Banquet in February 2012

From the website, I further showed to them about the youth camps, with pictures from the Still Waters Camps, and then the Tape of the Month study, and the Quizzes. We went next to read about Quiet Time and the need and blessings of it as reported on the website. We saw the Jesus Jar Sponsorship Projects and how it works, which we all benefited from in our Banquet of 2012 here in Lagos that was sponsored through the Nigeria Missionary Project

We saw the Music section of the website, which also has songs from the banquet we had in 2012. They were encouraged to make use of the website, it will encourage them in their walk with the Lord. We spoke of the different testimonies on the website, which are always a blessing anytime we read about them. Since many youths visit various sites including Facebook, they can spend some time to visit the website and enrich their Christian lives with the various resources that abound on the website. I told them they can share any testimony they have if they want it shared with the YF also.

They were very happy and clapped after the presentations. They told me that they have some questions to ask me, and some songs to sing and also some poems to recite. They also came with a piano to play during the singing. They asked me various questions about what they had seen and heard so far. They asked me to share with them a brief testimony about myself, my experience as a young man growing up, and in the Lord, and how I have been able to stand in the Faith till today. My experience as a young believer, on the College campus of the University, and how I took my stand as a Message believer. They asked me a question on Water Baptism, and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. I answered their questions and gave them references from the Bible, and the Message. I encouraged them to listen to the Tapes, and read the Sermon Books and their Bibles, and spend time with the Lord in prayer. They were very happy at the forum. I told them, that if there is anything we can do to further be of help and service to them, they should not hesitate to contact us. My waking thoughts every day and coming to the office, is how best I can be of service to the Bride of Christ and how best I can get HIS VOICE to them.

After all these things, they started the worship section, and they sang choruses from the Hymn Book, and different hymns, and also worship songs. It was so glorious. I asked them to let us sing the song, “This is Like Heaven to Me,” seeing how glorious it was. The presence and atmosphere was so sweet and glorious. We thereafter had some refreshments, and took some group photographs together. It was simply a wonderful experience for these young people. They said they will like to come again.

We closed up in prayer, and they were given some Sermon Books and Catch The Vision Magazines. They were rushing for the sermon Books, as each person did not want to miss out on the books. I can truly say, they were a group of young people that love the Lord and the prophet and the Message.

They dismissed from the premises, and departed in the church van that brought them. While taking their pictures when they were entering the van, you could see them all bubbling with excitements and taking group pictures with their sermon books.
