Edmonton Creations - Jacob's Ladder

The Edmonton crew ended their final 2015 Creations class with a special blessing from the Lord. A few words from the prophet concluded their faithful journey of classes, letting them know that they are on the right track.

On the evening of Friday Dec 4th, 2015 Edmonton held another Creations Class. We wanted to study and learn about "The Stature of a Perfect Man, The Seven Church Ages & The Seven Messengers". We modified the wood shop project and made a Jacob’s ladder toy. The toy is basically wooden blocks that tumble down a ribbon to reveal something different on the backside. We thought this would be a fun way for the children to play with a toy they made and learn about this very important lesson.

This was one of our largest classes with approximately 25 children and 16 adult helpers. We divided up into 4 groups and each group had the project modified for them. Our sister’s painted the toy and worked on the design layout, while the little one’s spent time trying to piece the blocks together in the correct order. To help assemble the blocks they had to follow a blueprint. Many of us felt the project looked pretty easy and we didn’t need the blueprint. A few blocks in, we learned how much we needed it. After many mistakes, everyone started to see the value to double and triple check every step we made to ensure the final project would turn out perfectly.

Class ran late into the night, but the children diligently worked on the project. They were patient when they had to go back and fix different things. We finished and it was getting late so the children had to hurry home. All of us remaining helpers gathered for a group photo, agreeing that maybe tonight was just as much of a Creations class for the adults as it was for the children. We ended the night with a loud Canadian hand clap of praise to The Lord for all He has done for us!

The Lord answered back! A sister was on the Quote of the Day and due to the time difference we can hear it early, at 10:00pm. This was the quote that was posted right around the same time we were clapping and praising The Lord. There are no coincidences with God!

Heavenly Father, they're coming by faith, through grace. There's about a dozen hands went up. It's the fruits of the Message. They come to You. They believe. I believe in them, too, Lord. I believe that, truly, the Holy Spirit spoke to them. And by faith they're coming right up Jacob's ladder now, right up to the foot of the cross, there laying down all their sins, and saying, "Lord, it's too much for me. I just can't bear it any longer. And will You take away my load of sin, and take the desire out of my heart to do so? And let me, by faith, this day, receive You as my personal Saviour. And from henceforth, I'll follow You every mile of the way, to the end of the journey. I catch a glimpse of what it means to 'go on to perfection,' not going into church, and the roots of dead works like baptisms and so forth. But I want to go on, until I can be no more, and Christ can live in me. 57-0908M Hebrews Chapter Five And Six 1
