Listening Ears

If you've ever wondered how the Lord feels when He sees that we, His children, are hearing His Word, read how blessed this mother was to see that her young child was hearing God's Word. If it makes an earthly parent feel that way, how much more our Heavenly Father?

I want to share this testimony as an encouragement to other parents to always place the Word before your children no matter how young they are.

I had a tape playing today while my boys and I were eating breakfast. My little toddler, who will be 2 in a couple weeks, was sitting in his highchair while I was cooking and my little 6 month old was in the baby swing. Brother Branham was talking about the prophet Malachi, which is my youngest son’s name. My 2 year old started saying “Chi Chi” which is what he calls his little brother. (Pronounced ki ki) I was so excited because I realized he had heard what Brother Branham was saying! He had been listening! I called my mom to tell her and as I relayed the story, my little boy listened to me talk. He then said, “brr brr, chi chi.” Meaning “Brother Branham, Malachi” :)

As a mommy, my heart is thrilled that he is understanding the prophet of God at such a young age. I often wondered if he ever listened or understood but now I know he does! Never assume you’re child is too little to teach them about The Lord. They pick up on so much more than we think they do.

God bless you!
