The Lord bless you all richly. I just wanted to express my gratitude to the Lord and to you for the change the recent series of Still Waters Camps has made in my life. I wasn’t privileged to be there with the saints with their hands in the honey jar, but because of the pictures and video clips you put up every day during the camps, I have been licking honey ever since.
I am so glad you all did this. If there was one person you all did this for, it was for me. Every day, I go back into the 'Blog' and find more hidden treasures, either a new song I never heard or a new picture or some little exhortation to strengthen me.
One thing though, I believe that one of the brothers forgot to put out the campFire that was lit, because to me, it's still a-blazing. I pray that it never burns out. I have been singing campfire songs ever since, and I can't seem to stop. 'Hakuna,' 'Sing Hallelujah,' 'Breathe on Me,' 'Under His Blood,' 'This is the year of Jubilee.' Oh my! Not to mention the countless little choruses from the video clips. Lord, Lord, Lord, You've surely been good to me! They mean a whole lot to me, as I do a little bit of song-leading here, so we all have been having a jubilee since. I have found that these songs in church are a very good 'starch remover.' My song-leading has been changed forever. I had downloaded some campfire clips and took the audio and was thinking of putting them on a CD to play at home and around.
About a day or so after thinking about this, my wife and I went on the site and saw a new Campfire album. You could imagine how I felt. I'm so glad you're thinking of us. Needless to say, we listen them OVER AND OVER, as nearly every believer has a CD with the downloaded campfire album.
When I first heard these songs, I was pleasantly surprised at the background music, as the chirping and croaking of nature could be clearly heard. To me, that's what makes these songs even more special, for it takes my mind right back to the beginning, God with his children in the cool of the evening, worshipping. It makes me think of the restored Eden that, by God's grace, we are headed to.
This is just the first year of camps and, to me, it was so great, how could it possibly be better, but if the Lord tarries, I know the blessings of these camps will be greater.
Through these pictures and videos, I believe that I have become more attached to the familiar faces of my fellow believers, many of them whom I've seen in previous YF activities and publications, but have never met in flesh. I would always notice a particular brother in every YF or VGR activity, (maybe due to his height, pretty tall!), but through these camps, I now know that his name is Bro. William, and I admire his sacrifice and labor among the youth, especially the singing. The Lord bless him. Bro. Gordon is special, there's just something about when he starts to sing, I just feel to praise the Lord. A tireless worker for the Lord, and may He bless him. To all the chaperones, great job, the Lord richly reward you. And to Bro. Joseph, I know you must be glad to see what the Lord has done through these camps. It is the inspiration of God. We love you all. The Lord bless you all.
Keep the (camp )Fire burning,
Bro Kye, Trinidad
