A Refuge For My Weary Soul

The testimonies keep coming and coming of the changed lives from Still Waters camps last year. We thank our Lord Jesus Christ, and give all the credit and praise to Him. This sister not only tells what the Lord did for her at camp, but how she became contagious to share her life-changing experience with another.

I wanted to properly thank you for the most incredible week of my life. There are no words to express how thankful I am of all the staff and everyone that made Still Waters Camp a refuge for my weary soul.

Living in this wicked world is far from easy, and I am ashamed to say that I had been falling right into satan's trap. I couldn't remember the last time that I actually knelt by my bed to pray or listen to a tape, other than at church. I can't believe I ever lived that way, but I can honestly say that my life has been changed forever!

I'm so happy to say that I have faithfully devoted an hour of my time each day to the Lord, and it's been an amazing blessing. It's not to please my parents anymore, but to feed my hungry soul. I truly have become hypoglycemic for the Word of God!

During our blessed week at camp, Brother Joseph said we need to be contagious. I have an awesome testimony to go along with this. I am really good friends with a girl named Emma from school. Her and her family go to a Catholic Church, and when we had talked about our faith, she mentioned that she didn't agree with some of the views/traditions they had. I brought her to church a few times, and she never rejected the Message. Looking back now, I wasn't a very good example of a true believer. After I came back from camp, she told me that she noticed a change in my life. I told her I got baptized and how (in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ). So out came the Bibles and the Message books from camp. She was searching and I knew the answer she was looking for.

Before I left for camp, I ordered "How The Angel Came To Me" for her. I was going to give it to her before I left, but every time I tried to give it to her we'd forget or it would get left somewhere. Now that I think about the failed attempts at getting that book to her, I can see it was the Lord. It wasn't the right timing.

So I finally got it to her, and I got a text the other night that said she was reading the Message and wondered if I could get her Brother Branham's Life Story. It's amazing how God works. I'm so thankful that I had a real experience at camp so now I can help guide my best friend to the Message!

Another blessing from camp was meeting awesome young people, people who won't bring me down in my walk with Christ. It's so encouraging to know there are other teenagers in the Message that face the same battles I do. All us girls have been keeping in touch and it's been such a blessing.

Again, thank you sooooo much for everything! All the sacrifices, prayers, work, everything! I truly believe the Lord has many blessings in store for you! Thank You!

In Christ' Love
