Still Gleaning In The Fields

Brother Branham told us "And as long as God is still calling, the apostolic age still goes on. "For the promise," the promise like it was then, "is to you, and to your children, them that's far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.""

This sister is doing her part to glean the fields for a co-worker who is searching for the Truth.

I work in a room alone with one other lady. She is in her 50's and did not have a pleasant childhood relationship with her mother. She is very tenderhearted and has opened up to me quite a bit. It is easy to see she is starving for love of home and family.

Through the grace of God I have been blessed to share listening to a sermon with her while we work. She didn't say anything about the content but only said, that man has a voice that could put me to sleep it's so calm.

We share info about our children, so yesterday I mentioned that our daughter, Joy, was going to camp next week. She questioned me about the camp, and because she showed such interest I sent her the link that has the pictures posted from the camps.

We were both at our desks working (we cannot see each other because we are in cubicles) and she began to say, oh my, oh my. I asked, what is it? She said, these kids look so happy! They all have big smiles! Look at them walking along together, so happy! She kept commenting on how happy they looked. I told her they were happy! Then as she progressed through the photos I kept hearing her comment on how the young people looked. When she came to the photos of quiet time she asked me what they were doing. "It looks like they are reading a book……" I explained it to her. She began crying and said, oh, I would love to go to a place like that to just get away from everything. It looks so peaceful. I told her that no phones or electronic devices were allowed. I told her how blessed Joy was to go and how much she appreciated it. She said, “all the girls have skirts on. I know you told me that not cutting your hair is in the Bible, but is wearing skirts your religion or is it in the Bible too?” I told her my 'religion' IS the Bible and yes, it was in the Bible for a woman not to wear pants.

She has long hair and told me that her husband has told her to cut her hair because it is too much trouble, but she doesn't want to. I told her to never do it; she will regret it.

The next morning when we began work, I was surprised to hear her say “all night long I thought about that place.” I knew what she meant, but I wanted to hear her say it. I said “What place?” And she said “That place you showed me yesterday. I thought about it all night long. That is so nice.” Then she said something that amazed me. She said, “just think what those young people will go on to do after being able to be at a place like that.” She said, “after going to a place like that they will do great things.”

My friend saw something in the faces of our young people that completely impressed her. She knows there is something different but she can't identify it. Please pray for her and pray for me that God will give me wisdom. She is a precious person. She is so hungry for love, and God has shown me that there is still missionary work to be done here; still gleaning of the fields.

God bless you all

And we believe that our Lord is coming soon, and we are now just gathering up, gleaning from the fields the—the part that's been left: like Ruth in the field, I suppose, gathering up that which is savable, and God has ordained eternal life; we are trying to gather that up. And I am so glad to know that we live in the—one of the greatest days that man has ever lived in, just before the coming of the King. 58-0609 The Message To The Laodicean
