Praise the Lord! No wonder we give our Lord Jesus glory for sending to us on this day that special gift. It meant a lot to the multitude Beyond the Curtain of Time, and it means a whole lot to us too! As we realize daily, how important His Voice is to us, it humbles us to think of the great sacrifice it took, one man’s entire life, to bring it to us. How privileged we are this year to give special honor to the Lord Jesus for His resurrection, and His messenger around the same time.

There is always a nice, special feeling around Bro Branham’s birthday. We had been inspired by YF to continue to press forward with our local Creations classes with the youth here, with awesome, positive results, and usually on the first Saturday of each month, we would come together for Global Quiet Time, followed by Creations classes for our 7–28 youth. This month, seeing that the first Sat was only 2 days before Bro Branham’s birthday, and also our local fellowship was in anticipation for a lovely 3 day feast (fast) time before the Lord over the Easter weekend, it seemed that maybe the Lord wanted us to have the classes on that Monday instead. We had a glorious Easter weekend, in singing, worship, prayer and each day looking to the website to see what sermons were preached on that day, so we could listen to them together.

We wanted to do something special together for all the age groups, and the thought came, that it all began in a humble, little log cabin, so we got to work, trusting the Lord that He would help us, and He did! Creations classes were designed centered around the little cabin. There were 55 students, and once they were old enough to hold a crayon, they got coloring pages with the cabin, to design as their little creative minds would allow. The 3–6 children put together the log cabin scene using cut outs, craft sticks, cotton balls, glue, crepe paper balls, and even a robin, they, no doubt had a blast! Our 7–11 girls painted the cabin scene on a decorated scroll, with the aid of pre-cut stencils, while the 12–28 sisters did their cabin artwork on their own personalized t-shirts. The 12–28 boys each did a large 3d model of that special log cabin, designed also to be used as a night light, while the 7–11 boys did a simplified version of the same project.

We tried to keep the projects as a surprise for the day, and it was, despite a few small leaks! All the parents and believers came together so nicely to put things in place for the day. There was a lot of prep work, as we had to prototype each project with the chaps, and lots of pre-cutting, so it ended up as Creations classes for all of us. For the larger cabin, we tried using as much natural materials as possible to get that rustic effect, so we went wood cutting, looking for selected young round wood trees. As we cut down the little fellows, we thought of how privileged they were to be selected out of the woods for such a project.

Finally, the much anticipated morning arrived, we gathered at around midday to have singing and lunch together, as we viewed some YF and VGR videos, we couldn’t leave out Noodles, Drumstick and Gramps on a day like this! After lunch, we handed out quiz sheets to everyone, with questions taken from the Cub Corner Trivia , ‘Brother Branham’ and ‘Happy Birthday’ categories, got some pretty tricky ones there! As we collected the quizzes, we prepared to enter the class sessions. We separated the age groups, with the chaps to help, and for the next 3 hrs enjoyed a sweet atmosphere around that little cabin, the likes of which we expect to sing ‘Amazing Grace’ around someday with our prophet, by His Grace.

We had a special treat planned for after the sessions, as we wanted to feast on some of the meals that Bro Branham really enjoyed eating. We had contacted YF for some help in this area, and they were so gracious, as usual, to send us five of his favorite recipes and the quotes to go with them! The sisters did really well in preparing for us- ‘Mulligan Stew’, Corn bread, Corn pone, Flapjacks and of course, Cherrie pie, and there was lots of honey and molasses on hand for the baptisms too! Of course, birthdays and ice cream seems inseparable, so we had lots of that too, and even the under 6 group had some play time on the field, as they conquered their project earlier than expected.

It seemed that no one wanted to go home, but as we sang and closed in prayer, we thanked the Lord for His gift, and for this ministry that is keeping the Voice of God alive on the earth today. Our prayers and support is with you all always, you are a great inspiration to our youth.
