YF Mobile Bistro - Whitemoor Lakes

We received a wonderful report and photos from our first European mobile bistro event.

The Young Foundations mobile bistro was on its way! The first bistro was to be held in Alrewas, England where some 100 young believers were to gather from around the country.

After nearly 600 miles / 1000 km of driving with the trailer and a ferry crossing through the English Channel, we finally arrived at our destination a day before the event.

We were warmly welcomed by Brother Alex Ukeni who graciously invited VGR to host the YF activities in conjunction with his church retreat. After a warm meal, we immediately started unpacking (and discovering), all the contents of the YF trailer. It took a few hours to set up most of the games, bistro, tables and coffee machines, we finally got to hit the bed around 1 AM.

We were in great excitement and anticipation as the day started. Not only was there going to be fellowship, various fun games and activities for the youth, but to cap it off, God’s prophet was going to speak that evening.

The first group of about 10 people arrived at 9:30 AM. They were all smiles, and entered the bistro area where coffee, tea, table tennis, volleyball, foosball, cornhole and other games awaited them. Some young brothers started playing foosball, while others were enjoying some time of fellowship and intriguing board games. Around 10:30 , the bistro was starting to get into full swing. Laughter could be heard around the tables as Uno was growing more intense and the young brothers were enjoying a vigorous game of Nine-High.

What a great way for young people to relax and enjoy Christian fellowship, in the right atmosphere! We realize that the needs for young believers are different than that of older Christian soldiers. Everybody was enjoying themselves and simply having good clean Christian fun.

After an hour of lunch, straight back to the bistro we all went. The volleyball court was changed into dodgeball. It seems that it was then that a large group of young people got to release their natural energies. Both sides relentlessly launched the soft, but firm balls. Some 50 people had a blast. There was lots of cheering, especially by those who got knocked out, hoping to get back in the game.

After yet another 3 hours of bistro, the youth gathered on the side of the Young Foundations trailer. It is meant for them. A group photo was taken and the song “Jesus Is A Mighty God” was sung. Truly He is a mighty God, and meets the needs of the young believers.

Supper followed immediately and gave the opportunity for the youth to relax and enjoy some more time of fellowship.

During supper, the YF staff quickly transformed the bistro area and prepared it for what was going to be a special service.

When supper had ended, the young people entered the room where the service was going to be. The youth had already had a good time enjoyed the fellowship, the games, and warm drinks; but now the most important was to happen. They were going to listen to the Word.

It was nice and quiet. The youth were settled and entered into an atmosphere of worship. Right before the tape, Bro. Gerald briefly stressed the importance of having Quiet Time daily, and also encouraged the young people to partake in the international Quiet Time every Saturday. Then, God’s prophet was introduced.

Bro. Branham preached the Message “A Prisoner”. Some may have heard it for the first time, some maybe many times. But regardless, it is a Message that spoke to the hearts of the young people. It was something Real. After the sermon, numerous young people surrendered their lives as the song “I Surrender All” echoed throughout the room. There is nothing better or more wonderful than being a prisoner of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Here is one of the sweet feedback we receied from the event:

God bless you YF!

Just a quick email to say thank you to Brother Joseph and YF for your acts of love. We had a lovely time on 2nd August here in England. Thank you for sending the mobile bistro. No doubt everyone was thirsting for a youth get together and the Lord just knew how to answer our prayers. With almost everyone finishing their examinations and hitting summer break, it was a nice timely event for all of us around the country to meet, relax and fellowship under the right atmosphere. Big thank you to Brother Gerald and VGR Europe for making such a sacrifice and travelling all the way to spend the weekend with us. Personally I will not forget that event. Like Brother Joseph always says before camp “come expecting”, this is a YF event I went under great expectation knowing God would grant me my desires and as always He was faithful to His Word.

Thank you Brother Joseph for thinking of us. I really appreciate your love.

God richly bless you!

Sister Zoe (England)
