Bistros In Zimbabwe

Between Quiet Time, Bistro gatherings, banquets and church, the youth of Harare, Zimbabwe get to spend a lot of time together. But who better to spend your time with than those you'll spend Eternity with?

Good Morning Sir,

We had two Bistros again this month just like we had it on the event-date calendar we sent earlier. It continues to be a refuge and a thrilling treat for fun-loving energetic kids (big kids like me included in that bracket!)

At each Bistro we have an average of between 40 - 60 kids. Each bistro is different, sometimes 9 high is a big hit other times tug-o-war or foosball but the mood is the same; jovial, happy, refreshing and satisfied. Water and soft-drinks are served throughout the afternoon as usual. A few of the times something is happening at a church concurrently with Bistro or QT but the youth co-ordinators in the different churches have graciously come forward of their own accord to know our calendar so their church youth events don’t clash with YF events. The youth themselves are enthused and thankful for YF being in the city.

Besides the local VGR staff, we have two couples who are voluntary chaperones and come in most of the times we have bistro. They do a pretty good job blending in with the kids.

We have QT coming up this weekend and then the next thing we have is September’s Global QT because our two week break comes up in August so no events during that time.

God Bless You

Stephen
