The long-anticipated day finally arrived at the European Office! The container was backed up to the shipping dock and the doors were slowly opened.

Inside was something that had been in the works for many months; especially designed and ordered for the youth in Europe.

At the VGR office in Jeffersonville, the youth are permitted on most Thursday nights to come to VGR to play games and fellowship in the staff break room, which is called “The Bistro”. There is always a married couple present to oversee things, but the youth are able to relax, play games, drink coffee/soft drinks and fellowship with each other. It offers them a pleasant relief from the world, without all the pressures and stress.

It’s popular with the local YF youth, and oftentimes youth from out of town are able to come and join when they are visiting Jeffersonville, which seems to always supply a positive atmosphere and experience for them to take home.

Well, Brother Joseph decided to surprise us by sending a Mobile version of the Bistro to the European office, stowed away in a container full of material and supplies for the European and Romanian VGR offices.

The first event will be held in conjunction with a church retreat in England, on August 2, at Whitemoor Lakes Camp. Events are being planned across Europe for the remainder of the summer and fall.
