We receive so many glorious reports of the blessed Quiet Times the youth have at VGR offices scattered around the world. It's not the office that brings the blessings, nor is it the office managers or the volunteers, though they do so much to create the right atmosphere, but it's God in simplicity, coming down in the calm of the hour to speak to the hearts of His children.
I wish to report that the youth around Blantyre still continues to enjoy our monthly Quiet Time. They always enjoy to come and be part of this great event. Whenever the day comes the youth are eager and expect to walk closer with the Lord Jesus Christ.
July 2, was another great day for the youth from the Message churches around the city of Blantyre. Exactly 30 minutes before the starting hour of the QT, brother Paul of our Malawi VGR office, started leading in songs, to steer them into a heavenly atmosphere and the spirit of the Quiet Time. After singing some 3 songs, Brother Saidi came forth to welcome the youth.
He read a quotation from the Prophet that prepared the minds of the youth to go into mediation, and later dismissed them to be alone with God.
Minutes swiftly vanished in a count down; after an hour the bell rang, signaling the end of our July 2, QT. Some of the youth had difficulties to raise from where they had sat, in protest to the sounding of the bell; they had not yet had enough.
Brother Paul came back with another song, to confirm that the one hour had finished, and that it was time for the youth to come back into the hall.
After singing the song, a prayer was offered. The youth were served with a snack and a drink. They always feel honored to be offered a refreshment after coming back from being alone with God, and they sincerely appreciate that Brother Joseph has made them to be very important people.
It was a great time, the happy faces spoke volume of what had transpired inside their hearts. Quiet Time will always remain a source of inspiration to the youth in Malawi.
God bless you.
