A "Quiet Time" Song

Quiet Time has certainly changed the lives of believers around the world. It's a sacred time alone, just you and God, that builds into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The song below was sent in from a sister who realized the effect of Quiet Time on her own life, and now she wishes to encourage others the importance of that sweet hour of prayer.

The Lord gave me a song about Quiet Time just under a year ago. I’ve never shared it until now, because I didn’t have a 2nd verse - then the other day it hit me that it would be so fitting to have the words of our prophet, Brother Branham, playing instead of a 2nd verse, because I feel that listening to this Message is a key part to Quiet Time (along with prayer, reading our Bible, & just being quiet/listening).

Together, it all paints a beautiful picture of Quiet Time. I’m not very good with technology & knowing all the ins/outs (what’s allowed, etc) & I made this entire production on my own using equipment in my home.

My desire is to only point to the Quiet Time that Brother Joseph felt a burden for. I have to admit I didn’t join in with Quiet Time immediately (I always try to make sure I’m walking as an individual), but once I joined my husband for quiet time (@ 5am) I realized something great was taking place.

Many times, The Lord has awakened me literally minutes before the alarm goes off, & I do not wake up that early on my own. Many times, being foolish, we stay up too late on Friday night as it seems so many are accustomed to doing, & yet The Lord has awakened me right before the alarm goes off or sometimes a few minutes after quiet time has started. This has spoken volumes to me, because I know it’s The Lord waking me up.

I wanted to share this song with Brother Joseph, because I know The Lord led him to start quiet time. I have no intentions of producing this song for any reason other than to freely share encouragement with the Bride of Christ to get serious about Quiet Time. I want it to bless others (speak to people through song).

God bless

And brother, sister, to a life that's consecrated and lays before God, it'll change them as certain as I'm standing at this platform tonight. It'll take all the fight out of you; it'll take all the difference out of you; it'll take all the—the isms out of you. It'll make you a real Christian if you'll just get into His Presence. Watch what taken place, a freshing, to be refreshed. Notice, the dew falls at nighttime. The world settles down. They active of nature through the day… the toils and the jumps, and the toils… But when everything quietens down, then what happens? The dew falls.

Of a morning, did you ever get up real early, get out real early and smell that fresh air, how it is and how refreshing everything is? The dew has fell. Oh, brother, sister, if the only thing you know is go to church, if the only thing you know that you joined or was baptized, or something like that, why not hide your life away with Christ. Get alone in the quietness, away from the world and all of its cares, and settle down and watch what a refreshing will come. 55-1110 A Hidden Life In Christ
