Spreading The Good News

It's a constant desire and burden for a true Christian to tell others of the glorious Gospel that Jesus Christ is not dead; He is alive and living in our hearts today. But the enemy is always right there to discourage us and steer us in a different direction. He hates this Message, and he hates for others to know about It. Then we think of the great commission and responsibility the Lord Jesus gave us after His resurrection; "Go Tell."

Notice, the very Message of the Gospel, Itself, is to prove to the people that He is risen. “Go tell My disciples that I am risen from the dead, and I'll meet with them, to confirm this to them.” O God, how in this last day there shall be Light again across the earth! “And I'll prove to My disciples! Go tell them that I am not dead, and I'm not a tradition, but I am a living Christ. I'll meet them. Take this Message to My disciples, that I am risen from the dead,” the Gospel, good news. 65-0418M

This sister pressed through the many distractions and dedicated a day of "Spreading The Good News" with her 3 children. What a blessing they received.

Here is just a small testimony of spreading the good news. Anybody could choose to do what we did, but it was more of the timing that stood out to me. I just want to brag on Him a bit today!

Roughly a year and half ago it became so strong on my heart to do something with my children in the form of witnessing. We hand out tracts and try and tell others when we can about the Lord, but I wanted to set aside a day and specific time to do something. I wanted it to be completely led of the Lord and not just do anything, so I sat on the desire for quite a while.

One day I walked past a corkboard in a Panera Bread and the thought struck me to pin up tract papers with tear-offs of themessage.com. But then I wondered what tracts should I use? I guess them all, but I wanted it to be just right. So I again sat on it for weeks. At this point I had already seen the Apple billboard in Jeffersonville, but it hadn't occurred to me just what I was supposed to do. Then one day driving down the freeway in Louisville I seen the other Judged billboard and it hit me like a ton of bricks! "I'll print up the apple and judged billboard papers so when people see the papers they will recognize them from seeing the billboards!"

Well I tried to print them up at home and didn't like the way they turned out, and I ran out of ink. The almost finished product stayed on my laptop for a few weeks, and it even discouraged me that I had been somewhat slacking with such a serious thing.

One day last week I woke up one morning with a full day ahead of me. I just felt to cancel it all and stay home. I sat down reading my Bible and it just came to me to go spread those papers! I went to print them up and they printed with no problem, unlike before!

We drove to every Panera Bread and coffee shop we could think of! All in all we pinned up 17 of each paper. We felt so awesome. We felt like real soldiers in the battlefield. On our way back that evening, my youngest said she felt like one of those brothers in the jungles taking the Word to people in need.

I'm glad I didn't rush into doing something I had a desire to do. More than anything I wanted to be lead of the Lord because His timing is crucial. And then this morning in our living room, our prophet told us this:

A messenger! You are a messenger, this morning. You’re…You are a messenger of good news or a messenger of bad news. Oh, isn’t it beautiful, to know that we are ambassadors, that we are angels, the messengers of the resurrection? And we are God’s messengers to the sinful world, that Christ lives. In our hearts, He lives. In our spirits, He lives. And He brings us from the low debauched life of sin, and exalts us up, and gives us a “hallelujah” in our soul, and makes us new creatures. We are messengers, angels of the Covenant. How wonderful! 57-0825M

The children were definitely excited to be messengers of GOOD news and spread the Word! I'm so humbled. I don't deserve all that He freely hands us. I love the Lord and His perfect Message and His perfect Bride so much. What an honor to be a part of the great machine. Thank you Bro. Joseph and all the soldiers at the storehouse that provide us with Perfect ammunition to fight the devil and bring in lost lambs.

God bless you all!!
