Christmas 2014

We all know how special and exciting the Christmas season can be, especially to a child. Anticipations are high. There seems to be a little extra cheer in the air. Folks around town are a little friendlier than normal. And it's a season for a lot of people to give to one another.

As believers, we don't get so wrapped up in the fantasy world of Christmas, knowing that our Lord was not born on this day. But, it is another GREAT opportunity for us to take time to worship and thank our Heavenly Father for "God's Wrapped Gift" to us.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

So this Christmas day, amidst all the anticipation and excitement, the gift giving and gatherings, let it be a day for giving to our Lord. Let us look with child anticipation for the Lord to come into our presence and do something great for us. He gave the greatest Gift the world ever had, now lets give a little bit of our time as a gift back to Him.

We encourage you to have a special Quiet Time with our Lord this Christmas. Remember that without His Gift, we would have no gifts. All that we have is a token of His love and grace for us. He deserves ALL the giving and worship we have to give, but He'll take whatever we will give Him. Let's not forget the main thing this CHRISTmas.

Heavenly Father, a lovely group of people here, they set in this hot building. And now, reward them, Lord. And I'm looking with child anticipation, with a heart like a child around Christmas time, waiting. Ever…All these years, Lord, You've never failed us. But yet, my heart jumps every time I think of You coming into our Presence, or us into Your Presence. Now, I pray, Father, that You will come into our hearts. Give these people faith tonight to believe. 62-0724
And we would ask that You would bless us so together in this what we are celebrating, the Christmas season. Lord, may we find the real Spirit of Christmas, and may It abide with us forever. 62-1216
