Quiet Time In Zambia's Copperbelt Region

Our Zambia office manager, Brother Maurice Phiri, sent us this neat report of the spreading Quiet Times in his country.

Greetings Sirs,

I received this report from a town called Luanshya in the Copperbelt Region of Zambia. They started having Quiet Time… The last time we had Quiet Time with Chingola youths at the office, we had received a good number of kids from this town. When they went back home they gave their pastor a hard time requesting him to allow them to be having QT as well. Finally, he allowed them and the report came through their pastor's email address.

Luanshya is 422km (262 miles) from Lusaka.

Thank you,

MP

REPORT ON THE QUITE TIME MEETING:

On the 5th of March 2016, we conducted a Quiet Time meeting which was held in Luanshya, Zambia. The theme was Thirst soul.

We started with the worshiping songs to bring down the presence of God and an opening prayer by a Brother. After the prayer we listened to the word of God, which was done by an Elder. He talked about the thirst soul. From 12:00-1:00 in the afternoon we entered into Quiet Time to be alone in free space to pray, read the Message and to think about God and what He has done in our lives, and thank Him.

Then from 1:00-2:00 we had a lunch break. From lunch break, we continued with the program entering into group discussions and gestures.

In group discussions, we looked at our previous meetings we’ve had. Then the meeting came to an end where a brother taught us a song entitled “The handwriting on the wall” and later we closed in prayer.

We where 35 in total.
