How Young Foundations Impacted My Life

This letter of thanksgiving was sent in to our Durban, SA office from a local young brother who was truly blessed through the many Young Foundations events he experienced.

Shalom Dear Brother and Sister,

I greet you in the precious Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This little letter is of thanksgiving rather than a testimony.

I just wanted to thank God for inspiring the VGR leadership with the Young Foundation Ministry. This ministry has been really a blessing to me, also to many young people that the Lord has help trough this ministry here in Durban South Africa. I recall in 2006 when I saw some picture on the VGR website about youth banquets and all the activities involved, wow; my heart was really moved by what I saw. I wrote to Brother Joseph requesting if we could have one here in South Africa, and in his response he told me: he will pray to the Lord and see how the Lord will lead him. Then after that I signed-in to the Young Foundation Website. A few months later I received my YF Pin straight from the USA just for me, wow. That was very precious to me, up to date it is one of my treasures.

By God’s Grace in 2009, I received an invitation from the Young Foundation saying that we will be having our first youth banquets in SA, one in Cape Town and another one in Johannesburg. I can’t explain how I felt when I received that e-mail. I was so broke at that moment to afford a trip, but given my strong desire to be in one of those meeting spoke to my pastor and he gave me the money for the trip. I went all the way to Cape Town (± 2000 km from Durban, 24 hours’ drive in a Bus ) just for that Banquet. Brothers and sisters, believe me when I am telling you, it was worth every single effort I had made to be there. There was no better place a young person could have been that evening. The atmosphere was just great. I met many other young believers and I realized that we really have a lot of young people in this Message.

Some months later the one in Durban also took place, and about a year later (2011) while in Johannesburg another one took place and I was there too. I really thank God for these experiences. In 2012, if I am not mistaken, we started our youth Tape meeting with Bro Ronnie Pillay (at that time the Voice of God office Manager in Durban, who has gone on to be with the Lord). We were just a small number at the beginning, but as days went by and the news traveled the numbers increased and we had more activities, including one outreach with all the young people. Well that was really great.

Though our Tape service were great, we desired to also have a little recreation and refreshment sessions for the young people, and we sent our request forward. In 2014, the VGR made it possible again, and our upstairs area was renovated, then equipment come all the way from the USA with the help of our new Office Manager, Brother Steven “always” Young, ( his surname is Young and he helps the young people so he will always be Young.)

Young people have a great opportunity to be close to God during Quiet Time sessions, and we have a good time with refreshments and recreation with other young people of precious like faith. Really I can say, I have been blessed during my youth time through Young Foundation Ministry. And through this little letter of thanksgiving I urge all young people to support this meeting through prayer and attendance. We have seen God: healing people, saving people, encouraging young people in their walk with Christ and much more through this ministry. To all the young people out there, hold this opportunity with your three hands (right hand, left hand and the hand of Faith).

I have “expired” to attending the meetings, as per age restriction, but you still qualify to keep going and prepare a better place for those who will come after us. We are the first beneficiaries of this great ministry in Durban, let us leave a great atmosphere of Godliness, Harmony , Brotherly Love and Mutual Respect among young people. Because God has given me Grace to see all this great work for young people, I believe also one day I will be around that camp fire, in one of the youth camps in SA or somewhere in the world giving a full version of how Young Foundation has impacted my life as a young man.

May God bless all the VGR staff members worldwide, and more specially our Dear Brother Joseph Branham and those of the Durban office, our dear Bro Steven Young and his family, Bro Larry and Bro Elie for making it possible for our young people. Also our Precious Brother Ronnie Pillay and His Family, for the great work he did for us young people of Durban. He was like a father to us, and he will always be remembered for his love for the young people.

God bless you all,

Your brother in Christ
