Each testimony we receive, no matter how big or little, is just another confirmation of God's continuing faithfulness to His children. He truly is Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
I just wanted to give this little testimony of what God has recently done for our family. He truly is a merciful God.
Back in July, God blessed us with a house. It was an older home with lead paint. Before we moved in, we painted over and cleaned what we could.
A few months after we settled in, I thought it might be a good idea to keep a eye on our littlest child’s lead levels, who was about 18 months at the time. I knew she would probably be the most susceptible out of our 4 children, since she would put toys and fingers in her mouth.
So we took her to the family doctor to get a simple blood test, and when the results came back I truly wasn’t expecting her lead levels to be elevated at all. But I was told her lead was at 7, and anything over 5 was cause for concern. We would need to take her to the hospital to have another test done a few days later. Immediately we started praying for our little girl and put our prayer cloth on her.
A few days later we took her in for the second blood draw, and then we waited, and prayed. During this whole time the devil tried to make us believe that she was grumpy and irritated from the lead in her blood (this is one of the signs of lead being present), but I refused to believe and give in to the devil’s scheme of looking up all the different symptoms for lead poisoning. Why look at possible symptoms of something that isn’t there? I knew it would just cause more worry and cause me to waiver in faith.
Several days later, I prayed once again and called up the hospital to see if the results were in. The nurse answered and said, “Oh yes, we have them in and her lead level is at 3.” My heart was so overjoyed and relieved, I hung up and just cried and thanked the Lord. The thing we found about lead is that once it’s in your body it doesn’t go away. So there is no medical reason why her lead would drop.
We just praise the Lord for His continuing faithfulness and mercy. We serve a living God!

What is it? See, it depends on what you're looking at. Don't look at the symptoms. If you fulfill what God said, believe it. That settles it. He's done it. That finishes it. It's all over. The boy never changed for three or four days later, but he got well, 'cause that father and mother wouldn't have nothing else on their mind. They wouldn't let the devil put his trash in their mind. They stayed right with it, and they held it. And he lives. 62-0628
