A Typical Bistro In Harare

We love to hear the wonderful experiences the youth have when they gather in one mind and accord. An atmosphere and peace is created that surpasses anything the world has to offer. How blessed we are to be among God's elect, and to dwell together in unity. This group of Zimbabwe youth take it to another level.

Zimbabwe is blessed with young people who love this Message and the messenger too! As the darkness of the enemy presses against them, they continue to press closer together and fight the good fight knowing that, if God be for them no weapon formed by the enemy in this last day can prosper nor separate them from the love of Christ which is reflected in His children one toward another.

This is why Global Quiet Time and every other YF event in Harare has been a blessing to the participants. It’s the desire to spend time with fellow Christians in a clean Christian environment and enjoy their company, learn from their testimonies, encourage them in their struggles, or simply share a smile assembled together much more as we see the day approaching.

That’s the Lord. That’s what this church was established upon, that godly, brotherly love for one another. I seen them even shake hands with one another, leaving a place, and cry like babies, to leave one another. They loved one another that well. 63–0714E

The monthly YF Bistro continues to be a HUGE hit with the local youth. We all know there are very few places that are clean & conducive for believers to enjoy such a privilege today; however God in His great providence has provided a place for the local young people to meet, greet and enjoy each other’s company in a good clean Christian environment. The expectation each month soars.

During the week, those who intend to come send in their names and confirmations, which are typed and printed into a special guest-list to be used for check-in at the gate. (something like it was with Arthur McCoy or Daniel Curry at the gate when Brother Branham told the story:)

As the day draws closer, the local VGR staff leave their busy day to day bustle and get busy; tidying up the grounds, polishing the floors, carefully setting up the indoor and outdoor games, getting water and drinks to quench the inevitable thirst, making sure everything is just right for this special group of young people. By the time Bistro day dawns, the place is ready to receive the select group.

Even before the appointed time, normally a few early birds arrived, true fellowshippers. As the clock ticks; inside the foosball and ping-pong tables are hot with action, wheels are almost audibly turning as checkers and chess players crack their heads to come up with winning moves, while a few are quietly turning the pages of Cub Corner and Catch the Vision Magazines.

Outside, a whole variety of activities from nine high, corn-hole, volleyball, knock-out, maflawu (dodge-ball) etc. Others just find a good grassy place to fellowship the whole time. Recently a few brothers discovered a fruit-tree which the VGR staff were not quite making use of and decided to help themselves - that became their fellowship spot for the day!

Throughout the day though, the look on the faces of the young people is priceless; so relaxed, content with each other and thoroughly enjoying a perfect and well spent day in the company of their true friends, brothers and sisters with whom they will spend eternity – currently enjoying a little foretaste of that!

After a good four hours of oohs, aahs, yells and high fives it will be that time again where we have to say good bye. But not before we gather and make a joyful noise unto the Lord, coming before Him with singing of gladness and thanksgiving for a wonderful day. For most all of us, this is the favorite activity of the day. A, ”We should have played this game first!” can be heard coming from a bubbly heart in the group after singing a wonderful song & getting ready to sing another! After this experience it always makes a lot of sense that we will be singing and praising Him for all eternity!!

After a mellowing worship song we pray, have a group photo taken, then half-heartedly begin to try to start to go home.

We would like to thank YF for all they do for this young Bride. Great things are happening in silence in our lives at these YF gatherings. Decisions are made, encouragement received, and the zeal to serve the Lord rekindled by simply looking at a fellow peer who is holding on to this Message, despite the odds stacked against us.

To sum it up, we are encouraged in our walk with Christ. May God Richly Bless You
