Gym Day In Lusaka Zambia

Quiet Time was a little different for the youth of Zambia a few months ago. Instead of the normal gathering at the VGR Lusaka office, Brother Maurice had arranged for the large number of youth to meet at a local gym, where they would follow Quiet Time with a meal and a nice gym day. It was similar to what we do at our European QT Gym Days, and it was a great hit among the youth! Below is Brother Maurice's report of the blissful day, along with some pictures and great videos to show how the Lord blessed them.

Greetings Sir,

I would like to take this opportunity to report to you that we had a successful Quiet Time. The announcement for registration was made a week before the planned Quiet Time, this meant that each day I had plenty text messages from kids confirming their attendance.

Lusaka has a lot of Message Churches but only about 8 churches allow their kids to attend Quiet Time. We are thankful to pastors from these churches who have gotten the revelation behind YF global quiet time. Last Saturday Quiet Time was attended by 220 young people.

The kids enjoyed a quiet moment of communion with our Lord Jesus. The atmosphere in the gym was so sweet that even the workers at the gym came to attest to that. One man came to tell me that workers at the gym were astonished by the good behavior and dressing of the youths. This man said he could not understand Quiet Time but it blessed his soul nonetheless. I shared the thought behind Quiet Time and he promised to visit our office for more details about Voice Of God Recordings and YF.

After QT, we had a wonderful meal. Each youth enjoyed a piece of chicken and chips and a bottle of drink. Since a pack of chicken was shared by two kids, we had remaining 21 extra packs, and we could not share them about 220 kids. So we decided to come up with 21 Message Quiz questions according to the number of chicken packs that remained. Those who answered were given another pack to share with a partner. It was fun!

After such a wonderful meal, youths enjoyed games e.g. volleyball, Ping-Pong, basketball and Net ball. They also had relaxed moment watching some video clips about Still Waters Camp activities. They felt honored to be given an opportunity to see what other kids are doing in other countries.

Finally and not the least, it was praise and worship time, the videos will be able to give you a detailed story about this part

Thank you,

Maurice - Zambia Office.
