Our “true” American Holiday has made its way back into season, and soon to be into the kitchen! If there’s one thing most all of us have in common; we love to eat! And Thanksgiving is a favorite time of year to do just that. Steaming turkey, cheesy broccoli casserole, marshmallowy sweet potatoes, tart cranberry slices, and scrumptious apple pie will be on the menu for many, and we can’t wait!
It’s also a favorite time of year that we can tell the Lord Jesus, and proclaim to the world, how thankful we are that God sent a prophet! He not only supplies us with the delicious natural food that sustains us from day to day, but He has supplied us with the Divine Spiritual Food that will sustain us throughout Eternity.
“Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, a day that’s set aside where our pilgrim forefathers set that day aside to give thanks to God for what we had—what He had done for us, for blessing them, giving them crops and so forth. It’s one real American day. All the other days, like Saint Patrick’s, and so forth, come from across the seas. But this is an American Holiday: Thanksgiving Day.” -WMB 59-1125
This holiday season, our appetites are full and our hearts are overflowing with thanksgiving for a living Word that is calling a hungry Bride to come and dine!
As you thank the Heavenly Father for the wonderful blessings and the food He supplies this Thanksgiving, be sure to thank Him for salvation. Thank Him for this Message. Thank Him for a family and a church that believes. Thank Him that you are “one of them.” Feast on His Word, and He will give you the best Thanksgiving you’ve ever had.
"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name." Hebrews 13:15
“Come and dine, the Master calleth, come and dine. You may feast at Jesus’ Table ALL the time!”
