A Moment In Time

A testimony came to our Philippines office telling
of a minister's personal testimony of how he met Brother Branham.
In the year 1952, I was recently converted to the Jesus Name Apostolic
faith.
At that time I was a newly licensed minister in the United Pentecostal Church
and was visiting with a dear friend, pastor W.M. King, at his home in Beaumont,
Texas.
We were in his front yard talking, when a car drove up and parked near us.
Pastor King hailed the driver as a friend, and we walked toward the car.
The driver was Rev. William Branham. He and Brother King were friends. I
was introduced and stood close by as they began a conversation.
Only a few minutes into their conversation, Sister King came from the house,
carrying a jar of fruit. She also greeted Brother Branham and interrupted
their conversation because the screw-on jar lid was stuck and refused her
attempts at opening it. She gave the jar to Brother King, and he struggled,
but could not open it. Then I had my turn at it, and I was young and strong
then and tried with all my might, but also failed to open it. Brother Branham
asked for the jar. He gently held it in his hands and quietly said a prayer.
Then holding the jar in his left hand, he just effortlessly turned the screw
top with the thumb and two fingers of his right, and the lid came easily
off.
We looked at him with astonishment, and he just simply and quietly rendered
a soft smile. His talk with Brother King was short, then Brother Branham
got in his car and drove away. This was the first and only time I ever saw
Brother Branham, but I will never forget it!
I know Brother King, sitting right here. I just recognized him, just
a few minutes ago. I'm sure. I think that's who that is, is Brother
King sitting there. He sponsored my last meeting here.
