Ronald and Jeremy Evans
Wednesday, May 03, 2006
Today we will begin with the personal testimonies of
two cousins, Jeremy and Ronald Evans, who are both a part of VGR's missionary
department. Their grandfather, Brother Welch Evans, was a close friend of Brother
Branhams for many years and a sponsor of the meetings in Brother Evans' hometown
of Tifton, Georgia.
Many remarkable events that took place during the time that he spent with Brother
Branham. Here is Brother Branham's account of one remarkable experience:
I had a big fish on the line and just a small pole. And I walked him up-and-down
the bayou trying to land him. And when I got him wore out and up to the edge
of the weeds, why, Mr. Evans said, "Just a moment, Brother Branham." And he
pulled off his shoes and rolled up his trouser legs, said, "I will catch it
for you." And he run out.
And as he started out, a big old rusty rattler grabbed him. And he let out a
scream and run back to the bank and said it felt like that the bone in his leg
had turned to ice, it was aching so hard. Well, if anyone knows what a snakebite
is, you get sick right away.
So I thought, "Well, if I had to pack him those two miles, he much larger man
than I, how was I going to get him out of that swamp." And it just come to me,
then this Scripture, "And they shall tread on the heads of serpents and scorpions."
And I said, "Just a moment, Brother Evans, I..." And put my hand over on the
place where the two fangs had went in and the little blood oozing out of the
holes where the rattler had bit him, I said, "Heavenly Father, Your Word...
In Your Word, it says that they shall tread on the heads of serpents and it
shall not harm them."
I no more than said that till... He must have been standing by somewhere. And
He heard the Word quoted, and the--all the pains left immediately. We fished
the rest of the day, went in that night, and his brother said, "You get to the
hospital just as quick as you can." Said, "Because, oh, it might break loose
any time."
And his Christian brother said, "If God has cared for me this far, He will take
me the rest of the way through." And he's never had any ill feelings of it yet.
The Lord Jesus did that. It pays to be a Christian. The sinner was bitten and
almost died. The Christian was bitten and didn't not even have to have medical
attention. Goes to show, that every Word in God's Book is true, every Word,
every chapter, every verse, every line is the truth.

Brother Ronald Evans has worked at Voice of God Recordings since 1996, and is
presently a part of the missionary department, assisting the French-speaking
believers around the world. He is 31 years old, and he and his wife, Angel,
have two children, Gabriella Christine, age four, and Elias William, who is
18 months old.
Brother Jeremy Evans has worked at VGR for seven years and is the representative
and liaison to the Russian and Indian offices.
Ronald Evans:
Brother Welch Evans, my grandfather, first saw Brother Branham's picture on
the back of a magazine and told my Grandmother, Sister Cleo Evans Thats the
one I want to follow, when she asked, why him, My Grandfather replied, look
at his eyes.
A while after seeing his picture, thinking that they were going to listen to
a radio broadcast of Oral Roberts, an announcement came over the radio, announcing
that Brother Branham was holding a revival in Chatanooga Tennessee. They packed
up and left that very day, and headed for Chatanooga where they heard Brother
Branham for the first time in 1950. It wasn't long after that, when Brother
Branham and my Grandfather met in person in Philadelphia, which is a story Brother
Branham relates in the Message Convinced Then Concerned, 62-0118. My father,
Ronald (who Brother Branham called Ronnie) also had the privilege of knowing
Brother Branham and often spoke about so many precious moments that he was a
witness to while attending Brother Branham's meetings, and how he remembered
making the trip from Tifton, Goergia, all the way to Jeffersonville, every Sunday
to hear Brother Branham speak.
My dad and grandfather were on the Colorado hunting trip when the oncoming storm
was rebuked and held at bay by the Spoken Word. Dad was also present when Brother
Branham preached Marriage And Divorce at Parkview Middle School in Jeffersonville
where Brother Branham called him out as one of the witnesses of the fiery-looking
amber cloud that appeared on the mountain in Arizona when the Lord revealed
to Brother Branham truth regarding the subject of marriage and divorce.
Mrs. Evans, are you here? Ronnie, you here? I come on back down to the station;
this young boy (by the filling station, Evans' filling station there)--and before
I knowed what the boy was going to say, he took me off my feet. He said, "Brother
Branham, you was up in that mountain over yonder, wasn't you?"
I said, "What do you mean, Ronnie? No." (See? To see what he was going to do.)
Lot of times things happen I don't--you don't say it to people. It becomes...
The thing of it is, you see so much happening, it becomes common to you. See?
I just don't tell the people. I said, "Ronnie, what was you..."
He said, "I can show you right where you were at." Said, "I called mama, and
we stood here and watched that Cloud hanging up in here, going up and down.
I said, 'It's got to be Brother Branham setting up in there somewhere. That's
God talking to him.'"

It is the biggest honor in my life to have the opportunity to know and believe
this Message with all my heart, and I am so thankful to be associated with people
from around the world who share in their hearts the same love for the same Message
of the Hour, just as Brother Branham spoke it.

Jeremy Evans:
Both my parents had the very special privilege of being in Brother Branham's
meetings. Before my father was married, he lived in Georgia with his family
and came often to attend services at the Tabernacle in Jeffersonville, and many
other places around the country where Brother Branham preached. My father, Wayne,
has told us that no matter how busy my grandfather was, on Saturday he would
always drop everything and drive his family the 600 miles to Jeffersonville,
to hear Brother Branham speak on Sunday. Grandpas weekly pledge to attend the
meetings could not be considered a sacrifice in my mind, as his connection with
the prophet delivered him from a deadly snakebite, restored a stolen car back
to him, and most of all, allowed him to personally hear the precious words of
Gods messenger and servant for our day.
My mother, Madelyn, grew up in New Albany and attended the services at the Tabernacle
on a regular basis. Moms father, Brother Carl Wheeler, was a deacon at the
Tabernacle while Brother Branham was there, and Aunt Jacqueline (Moms sister)
started playing the piano for Brother Branham when she was just 15 years old.
Mom and her family were there when the Holy Spirit drew the Church Ages on the
back wall of the Tabernacle. She still vividly remembers how it appeared just
as Brother Branham had drew it on the chalkboard, except she said it was an
actual living Being, and it would come, then fade away, then come back again,
and move around.
Grandpa Wheeler also personally witnesses that event, along with many other
supernatural happenings that followed Brother Branhams ministry, including
the snowstorm that was rebuked and calmed by the Spoken Word while he was hunting
with the prophet in Colorado.
Without a doubt, the Message has certainly been the nucleus of my family for
my entire life, as I know it has been for many others who will be reading this
testimony. I know all of us can testify that some of the most influential times
in our lives consist of our family conversations around the supper table. My
grandfather, Brother Welch Evans, when to be with the Lord in 1975, but I am
grateful that my parents, and three of my grandparents are still living, giving
me the opportunity to continue to listen to them tell of the personal experiences
they had with Brother Branhams ministry.
It is such a privilege for me to work with the team here at VGR today, to help
spread this life-giving message. It amazes me how efficiently each department
works together to put out the enormous quantity of materials they do each year.
Please remember this work in your prayers, that God will continue to provide
all thats needed for the people overseas to have the same kind of fellowship
around their supper table, that we enjoy around ours!
God bless you,
Jeremy Evans
