A Widow Woman Who Said The Right Thing!
Wednesday, November 30, 2005
She was poor, very poor. If you had ever been on
the back roads in the hills of Southern Indiana's Crawford County in the
1950's, you would understand. Although scenic, this rocky, wooded land had
no industry, few jobs, and little arable land. It is the poorest county
in the state.
It was in a small home in this setting that the widow lived. Her husband
had been killed in a tractor accident some years before. Hard work had wrinkled
her face and aged her beyond her years; yet she had been blessed in a way
only shared by a small, select number of people, for her family had known
the prophet of God personally.
Brother Branham had been their pastor for many years and had performed her
marriage to her now deceased husband. Her parents were even privileged to
have the prophet of God share meals with them in their humble home.
On a day in November 1959, she had the opportunity to do one of the things
that were the highlight of her simple life: listen to the prophet of God
talk about the Supernatural experiences in his life. Little did she realize
how her life, and that of her children, would be forever changed, simply
because, in response to what he had said, Hattie Wright Mosier exclaimed,
"Brother Branham, that's nothing but the truth!"
