Dear YF,

The Lord did something really neat for us...

We live up in northwest Montana, and one day it was very cold. We had a windchill of -25 or -30. About 7:30 in the morning, we discovered our water pipes had frozen. Just before we sat down to eat breakfast, my brother Nolan walked over and tried the sink one more time. Nothing came out - it was still frozen.

My little brother Sean began to ask the blessing over the food. He said, "And dear God, please help our pipes not to bust." My dad interrupted, saying, "Sean, why don't you ask Him to thaw out the pipes?" So he prayed again, and asked the Lord to thaw them out. As soon as he had finished praying, my mom jumped up and went over and tried the sink again. It was just like it had never been frozen!

The odds of our pipes defrosting on their own in those exact 30 seconds of prayer are incredible. Praise Jesus for His constant care, and attention to every detail of our lives.
