Wisdom Versus Faith
April 01, 1962
"All you soldiers get your--your Sword now, and we're going to declare war on the enemy."
These are the words Brother Branham speaks just before he opens up his Bible to read us the Word of God. He had just finished building a platform for his text, telling of the rugged training he underwent as a young boxer, and the rugged training a sergeant drills into those army boys before combat. They may have hated the training at the time, but when it came time to fight, they loved it, because they were prepared for battle.
That's what Brother Branham did for us. He trained us rugged so that we would be prepared to fight the spiritual warfare in the land, to be ready when we come to the end of the road. Now the war is raging, and we can say with gallant hearts that this end-time Message has equipped us for every battle at hand, and for those that lie ahead.
In this message he tells of the only two sources that we can draw our life from. One of them is wisdom, and the other is faith. Brother Branham instructs us of what wisdom produces, and then what faith produces. By the help of the Lord, he brings them up out of the Bible and shows what they are, what they are going to do, and what they have done. It's another perfect training lesson to sharpen our skills and prepare us for battle.
- The fight is on, O Christian soldier,
- Face to face in stern array.
- Armors gleaming, colors streaming,
- The right and wrong is engaged today.
- The fight is on, but be not weary,
- Be strong and in His might hold fast;
- If God be for us, His banner over us,
- We'll sing the victor's song at last.
