Philippines Missionary Trip - Sponsorship Project Conclusion Wednesday, April 27, 2011

The Philippines Missionary Trip Sponsorship is coming to an end. Even though Brother Jeremiah has completed the mission, we will still be accepting your Jesus Jars to go toward this sponsorship project for a few more weeks. The last day you can partake will be May 17th.

Did you get exhausted after your long missionary journey through the labyrinth of Philippine islands? Brother Jeremiah and his team sure did! They arrived safely home after an unprecedented, nonstop 19 day journey through some of the roughest and most remote regions of the Philippines. Even for an active missionary, this is a very strenuous, hard trip to make, but Brother Jeremiah and his team accomplished the task with joyful and zealous hearts. In Filipino talk, they covered a total of 4,370 kilometers on land (over 2700 miles), and over 500 nautical miles of sea travel (almost 600 miles) crossing almost the entire southern stretch of Luzon island, the Visayan islands of Samar and Leyte, and almost the entire eastern span of Mindanao island, traversing about 20 provinces and over a hundred towns and cities from the time they left the VGR Manila office.

This trip wasn't without challenges and difficulties, as it was started at the height of monsoon season. Even so, the brothers felt it was the Lord's time to embark upon this journey, and Brother Joseph had given the marching orders to go. It was a great success!

Words from Brother Jeremiah:

Despite the strong monsoon rains, the landslides and flash floods on the road while we were on our way, the Lord was on top of everything. It never rained upon us while we were on our long treks and motorbike rides going up the mountain churches and even during our boat sail to a fishing village in Surigao del Norte. His ever abiding Presence and protection had been with us all along every trip that we took until we arrived home. All praises and thanks to our wonderful Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, even as we are also deeply thankful for all the prayers and support of Brother Joseph and the Young Foundations that mainly made this trip possible.

Brother Jeremiah and his team effectively accomplished the set objectives for this Missionary trip. It allowed them to personally meet 54 pastors and ministers and visit 41 Message churches, many for the first time. They were able to see and ensure that the Message is getting into the hands of God's predestinated Elect, wherever they may be.

For the very first time, a considerable number of churches were able to play the prophet's tapes because they could now understand Brother Branham as he preaches in Cebuano on account of the Cebuano MP3s that you provided for them. There were also many other churches that had been longing to hear these Cebuano MP3's but could not, either because their MP3 players have become defective already, or they don't have electricity in their areas. Now they can! Many of the saints in these areas are hardly educated, even the ministers themselves, so you can imagine how precious it was for them to obtain these translated Messages in their native language.

Many of the Message believers dwelling in the mountainous regions of the Philippines are deprived of the essential materials to live by. Even so, there's one thing Brother Jeremiah noticed, "But one thing sure, one will never miss from these precious Saints is that kind, gentle and humble spirit among them."

We hope you've enjoyed your missionary journey!
