Showing Interest Friday, May 13, 2011

Some might say that four years old is too young for a little one to start grasping the Message, but this story might just change your thinking. There are many children younger than this who can tell you all about there favorite cartoon shows or books. Why not something "of the God of heaven and peace?"

We're so blessed and thankful to read how parents such as these are training up their children in the way they should go.

Dear Bro. Joseph and Young Foundations,

I would like to say "thank you" for the efforts that go forth to keep Cub Corner and Young Foundations going and available as it is for our children. I wanted to share with you something that blessed my husband and me and thought it would bless you, too. Somewhere around a year ago or so our 5 year old (then 4) saw his sisters taking the tests on the tape of the month and asked why could he not take the test. Showing this interest I began working with him also. It has taken longer on each message for him to catch each question but is well worth it...and this showed more the other day than I realized.

As I sat at the computer with my little 5 year old on my lap we began taking the quiz over Revelations Chapter Four #2. I was reading the questions to my little boy. (He had answered them all on paper throughout the message, but we were going through them again on the computer as I wanted to hear him tell me the answers again.) Sometimes we have to go over some of what Bro. Branham said to refresh his memory.

We came to a True or False question that said "In Genesis 9:13, God made His rainbow covenant with Noah." When he told me that was false I asked him well who did God make his covenant with? His answer was with certainty as he told me God made the covenant with Himself. It blessed me that he had listened and remembered that as it seemed a tricky question for such a little one.

"See, the covenant was life for Noah, that He spared him, but the covenant that God made with Himself was a rainbow, that He would not... Now, I'll show you what Noah's covenant was with God, in a minute. But this here was God's Own covenant with Himself, amen, a rainbow." 61-0101

And this is just one instance of how our children have picked up from the messages something that just blesses us.

I was excited as I told my husband and commented that I did not know that at five years old even though I was raised and kept around this message, too. Then a thought occurred to me how the world knows so much more than we did at 5 years old, so what a blessing (and why shouldn't) our children know even more than we did at 5 years old around this Message!

The sacrifices you make are so appreciated. We pray He will reward you abundantly for all you do and the efforts you put forth!

God bless you,

I tell you, the thoughts of a good Christian mother, is a treasure to a human heart that's never forgotten. God, give us more mothers that'll take their children, and instead of trying to teach them tap-dancing, and something to ruin and wreck their life, will read the stories of the Bible to them and tell of them of the God of heaven and peace. God knows that we need that above all things now for motherhood. 59-1127
