Jesus Jar Day In Brazil
Friday, February 25, 2011
Cub Corner Missionary Sponsorship Projects have exploded in the past two years. They have spread far and wide from the initial local group that first took part. Cub Corner kids and Sunday Schools from every corner of the US, Europe, Australia, and even the much less fortunate countries of South America and Africa have teamed up together to take part in the blessing of helping others. To see the zeal and love that the youth are presenting to the Bride of Christ in need, is an inspiring undertaking that has spread like wildfire among the young and old.
This group of young believers from Brazil kept the same pattern to continue the drive to do more for the Kingdom of God. A brother from this church in Congonhal Minas Gerais, Brazil contacted us earlier last year (2010) with the desire to have a Jesus Jar Day with his youth group. It took a while to materialize and get all the pictures, but they had a great turnout, and it looks like a lot of fun. Even with the lack of available jobs and income being far worse than here in the US, they still made great strides "with lots of little efforts."
Here is there report:
To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ, which are connected at Young Foundation site: "Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." (Colossians 1:2)
We give thanks to God since we found these blessed sites, youngfoundations.org and branham.org, because when we read the articles and testimonies, our faith in this Message is increased. That's a pity here in Brazil, most of the believers doesn't speak or read English.
At a small town called Congonhal, Minas Gerais, Brazil, there is a little group of believers of the Seventh Angel Message, that are waiting the second coming of the Lord. The youth and the children from our church became excited with the testimonies about the "Jesus Jars," then we decided to have our Jesus Jar Day. It was on February 16th, 2010, when we made our Jars. It was a good time singing hymns and having fellowship.
After three months we opened the Jesus Jars during the Children Bible Class. They were really happy to give the money they had been saving and they are very sure that the money will be well used by VGR to spread Brother Branham's Message and the books "The Mother Opossum" and "The Footsteps of the Prophet." This is a small contribution, but it shows how we love this Message and that we appreciate VGR's work.
The most important thing to us is showing to our youth and children this beautiful VGR's work; help them Catch the Vision and feel thirst to always support God's Work.
God bless you in His precious Name, Lord Jesus Christ
