Under Pressure Monday, December 20, 2010

The world can place a great deal of pressure on a Christian, especially the youth in this generation. There is only one way to become pressurized to stand this pressure, and that is to be born again and filled with the Holy Spirit of God. Without This, you can't stand the pressure and will surely be crushed under the heavy blows of the devil.

This sister relays some encouraging words on how she overcame the pressures of her teenage years.

Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

I wanted to share a testimony about my life. I know that there are a lot of people who have a hard time and are going through trials. I am 18 now and I have went through my share of them. I know what it feels like to not be part of the "in crowd" at school, and even how it feels like to be looked down on because of my religion.

I had a teacher who disliked me because I mentioned that I was raised in a Christian household and that I thought that was the best way to raise any family in. I just kept praying and I got through the year. It was never very easy, but it will never be. "Diamonds are formed under pressure." I know that many of the youth have an especially hard time coping with these trials, girls perhaps a little more since we wear dresses and keep our hair long.

I notice that when I go into a store, people stare at me. They talk about me as I walk by, and even when they think I am out of ear shot. I heard one elderly lady tell her husband "Look do you see her? It is so rare that I see teenagers dress so decent these days. Her skirt is so pretty, doesn't she look pretty?"

People have told me that my hair is pretty and they ask me what church I go to. I have met some people who disagree with me, but I just pray for them and keep living the way I should be living. I want to encourage the youth to keep going on the right path and not to give up. Also, please pray for your pastor and his family. Those prayers are always appreciated because they need God's help as they try their best to serve and help the people. They need your prayers too. I know that time is short, so be prepared. I want to thank the Young Foundations as well, I have their website set up as one of my home pages. I read each new post that comes out the day it does and I really find this cite encouraging. I have told many of my friends about it and have sent them the links as well. May God bless the work you are doing for His children, I pray for you all.

Your Sister In Christ

And that's the way we find ourselves along the road. We find so many times that people just can't stand the--the pressure it's--of being a Christian is because they have never really died out to self, and be reborned again, made from the dies of God to stand the load, the pressure that comes against a real Christian. You try to walk with a real saint of God, and find that pressure hit against you like that, you'll blow up and be back where you was to begin with. But if you've been borned again, and really filled with God's Spirit, then you're pressurized by God to stand the pressure that the world can put against it like that. But it must be that first. 62-0711 Hear Ye Him
