It's precious to see the impact a simple story from the life of God's prophet can have on a little child. No matter the circumstances, God can and does speak to the lives of even the very young. The fundamental role of this thankful grandma tells the story. It shows that even if you're the only spiritual influence in someones life, it can still make a difference.
Dear Bro. Joseph,
I just wanted to let you know how your children's books are teaching our very young. I have a granddaughter who, even before she turned two, loved to have me read the "possum" book to her. As I would begin to read, she'd reach over and flip the pages until she saw one of her favorite pictures, the picture of the opossum with her arm in a sling, and a band-aid over her eye. Abigail would then point and say, "That is so sad!" Then she'd turn the page until she saw the picture of all the little opossums laying on the ground. She now says, "She don't have no milk!" The next page would be the one of Bro. Branham praying for the opossum. She then says, "Banum pray for her?"
Abby then turned two, and we were still reading this same book, over and over. I kept trying to read the next book, about the storm, but she kept insisting on the "possum" book.
One day Abby kicked out at one of our little dogs, who was 13 years old. I said, "Abby, that's not nice! Gus is old, and has no teeth, and he is sick!" She said, "Banum pray for him?" I said, "Why don't you pray for him?" She then got on her knees, put her hand on Gus, and pointed a finger into the air. When I saw that pose, I realized she was imitating Bro. Branham (in the book) praying for the opossum. My heart melted...
Sometime in May she finally let me read the "storm" book to her. We talked about how the little boy was afraid of the storm, how the hands over the house belonged to Jesus, and He was protecting them from the storm. Abby at this time was 2 years and 5 months old.
A week ago I went to visit them at their house, and as we left it began to rain. Her mom said to me, "By the way, what is Abby talking about when every time it rains, she says it is Jesus, and she talks about hands?" I didn't have a clue at that moment, and said maybe she'd heard me talking about the "cloud picture", where the clouds were angels wings.
She then said that one day it rained, and Abby opened the door and took her little brother outside to see "the hands."
I still did not have any idea where Abby would have got that from, and I proceeded out the door. As I was almost to our vehicle Abby came running out the door, and said, "It's raining! See the hands?" And she pointed up over the house, into the sky. That was when it hit me! She was remembering the book!
I went back into the house and saw my son had come into the kitchen. I then told him how I read the "storm" book to Abby, and those hands she was talking about belonged to Jesus, protecting them from the storm. My son is not serving the Lord at this moment, but I saw the look of pride and joy on his face, and knew that his heart was touched by what his little girl had learned from reading your books.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, John & mother ... and sometimes grandma! Thank you for those books, and we look forward to reading more.
God bless you!
Enclosed is a picture of Abby sleeping, and in her arms she has her 'possum' book. It really warms my heart to see what little I've been able to teach her, coming to life!

I sent both books home with her, and was touched when her mom called me to say she is sleeping with both of them, and listening to tapes as she sleeps in her own room, for the very 1st time!
If you would like to purchase this "storm book", it is called "Footsteps Of The Prophet" and is available HERE.
