Romania Day 4 - The Word
Tuesday, August 31, 2010
No one can speak like God's prophet, so as we gathered together in the auditorium we were anxious to hear what he would say to us this morning. We had spent the last three days together preparing ourselves to become prisoners for Christ; we prayed together, ate together, sang together, played together, laughed together and a few times cried together. Now, once again we were getting to hear the Voice of God speak to us, together. We really felt like one group of believers. Not a group from one church, city or country standing along side another group, but one large group, standing together under this Message.
We quickly got right in to the Message, "A Prisoner" 63-0717. Brother Branham said:
May our lives be so submitted to Thee, that the Holy Spirit will live Itself through us, and speak through us, Lord. May we remember, in our minds, as we walk upon the street and rub arms with the world, we're not supposed to be like those. And we step aside and give them the place, Lord, and their rightful position here on earth. We'll take the back seat, knowing that we are delegates from another world. We have a Kingdom that's coming into power, Lord. And our great King will soon arrive and take over all the kingdoms that's in His domain. And He shall rule and reign; with Him here on earth, thousand years, and be with Him forever.
What a start to the Message! We are not from here. We are not Romanians or Dutch or Africans or Americans - we are Christians! As the Message continued Brother Branham outlined who in the Bible gave up their own ambitions and thoughts and submitted them to God. Moses did it, Jeremiah did it, Jesus did it. Then he called on us to do it. At least half of the young congregation went up to the altar at the closing of the service. The Spirit swept through the building and 4 people felt a tug in their hearts to be baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The entire group made their way down to the pool and watched in reverent respect as Brother G baptized the 4 young Christians. The singing sounded like angels themselves had came down to welcome the new ones in. It was definitely a time to remember.
It was hard to say our goodbye's but there was one common statement among the young people of Romania. "If we don't see each other again here, I will see you on the other side." Thank God for young people like these, and thank God for the chance to give them a little bit of encouragement for these few short days.
