Standing On Your Convictions Monday, December 27, 2010

Brother Branham spoke very highly of a Christian who will stand on the convictions that God puts in their heart. When we do that, it can open up doors that would otherwise never be opened to witness to a lost or searching soul.

I just thought I would send this as an encouragement to young people that they might not know what impact their lives and standards are having to the people around them.

A couple years ago I was working with a girl who had a friend come and visit her at our workplace. I started chatting with the guy and asking him a few things about himself and found out where he was from. I recognized the town name as I knew a message family that lived there and was good friends with them. I casually asked him if he knew them. He did, he had gone to school with their daughter. We chatted back and forth for a couple minutes before he turned to my co-worker and told her "You know something about her, she has never cut her hair once in her life." It was something that stood out to him. He was quite impressed with someone that stood with their convictions and didn't compromise with the world. I was able to testify a little bit more to them both when my co-worker questioned why she hadn't cut her hair, or what her reasons were.

We may think its hard sometimes going through life seeming to be different from everyone else, but we don't know how our lives and our stand will impact someone and what it may lead to. This sister probably didn't realize what it meant to this young man and the opportunity that arose from him meeting another message believer.

Oh, brother, I'm telling you. It pays to stand on what you know to be the truth. Yes, sir. The world's a watching. You stand exactly on your convictions and be ready to give a man an answer at any time. 54-0321
