Lost and Found Prayercloth Monday, June 28, 2010

God wants us to ask in abundance that our joys may be full. This sister did just that when she had lost a cherished keep sake, and God gave her joy when He allowed her to find it.

Wednesday night, I was getting ready for bed after coming home from church. I felt something in the pocket of my skirt, and my hand closed around the locket that usually holds a piece of Brother Branham's tie that a dear Brother in Christ gave to me. I have had this prayer cloth for two years now, and it is very special to me because the Prophet of God had used it.

As I pulled my locket out of the front pocket of my skirt, I was devastated to find it opened, and the prayer cloth gone. I frantically pulled the pocket inside-out, but the prayer cloth was still not there. I began to search the floor of my bedroom, my bed covers, and even investigated the washer and dryer, pulling out every piece of clothing and turning them inside-out as well. When the lint-trap of the dryer also turned up empty, I was at a loss for what to do. Would I ever see my prayer cloth again? How could I have been so careless as to lose it in the first place?

I began to cry softly and my boyfriend, who was on the phone, suggested that we pray about it. I thought that would be the best idea, so I sat down on my bed and he prayed a simple prayer that I would find my prayer cloth, because God cares about even the smallest things and this cloth was very important to me. I was still crying when I pulled back the covers I had frantically searched earlier, and found my prayer cloth laying on my bed!

This miracle of finding my prayer cloth caused us both to praise God for His wonderful goodness and mercy. I felt like the woman in the Bible who had lost one of her marriage tokens, but found it again by God's grace. So, if you ever think that God is too big, and you are too little, remember that He watches over His children with care. He cares about us, and He cares about what we cherish.

God Bless!
