A New Life

This young sister was blessed with a special honor, and her life was forever changed.
Hello, dear brothers and sister,
A few months ago, on November 8, 2009, I was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was the most beautiful and yet the most strange feeling. I really don't know how to put in words how it felt. But one thing I know for certain was that the presence of the Lord was so strong that I wasn't able to stand on my feet. I felt something pushing me down and I just couldn't fight it back.
Ever since that day, I've been very grateful to my Lord. I know I'm not perfect but with the help of my merciful God I hope to get there one day. I thank Him so much for the life He's given me and for the chance to praise Him with my hands, my voice and my heart.
I know that now that I have been baptized, the enemy is mad and will do things to make me fall and disappoint the Lord. But I know the Lord is always with me for He says in Philippians 2:12-13 "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure." I know it's a long journey and it's not easy to be a young servant of God. There is so many influences and temptations in school, especially at my age(17). But with the help of the Almighty Lord, prayers from my family and brothers and sisters, I know I can overcome any obstacle that comes my way. All we need is to have faith, for he says "If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you."
Just believe! May God bless everyone.
I think that if other young believers read my testimony they can see that they are not only in this battle, and we are praying for them. Thank you and once again may God bless you.
Truly this sister can rejoice and be glad that she has taken on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ in water baptism. We rejoice with her. Now the devil will surely try to tempt her all the more and pull her away from the things of God. But as she claims her promise to be filled with the Holy Ghost, she will have Almighty God to fight the battles for her.
When you're down there serving the devil, he just lets you slouch around any way you want to. But you once take a stand for Christ; you've got on the other side then; he trains every gun right around on you. Every temptation, everything that could be throwed to you, then you got it. But what have you got? "Greater is He that's in you, than he that's in the world." See?
Now, you wasn't in no battle here, you was just slopping along. See? But now, you've--you've cleaned up; you've dressed up; you've shaved; you've combed your hair; you put on a uniform; you've got a gun in your hand. "Let's go." See? You're in battle, not to show off, but to fight, fight. Sure when the temptations rise, with the spirit and the shield of faith, buckle off and move on." See? That's right. Oh, put all the whole armor of God.
