The Water Baptism
January 19, 1961
One of the most controversial subjects in the world of Christian religion is baptism. How should it be done? There's baptism in the Name of the Father, in the Name of the Son, and in the Name of the Holy Ghost; in the Names of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ; in the Name of Jesus only; immersion three times face forward; three times face backward, sprinkling, or simply the verbal act of baptizing without water at all. These are only some of the many different interpretations of baptism. It's no wonder why so many people get confused about which way is right.
If it weren't for God's grace in sending us a prophet to read between the lines and reveal to us the way, we could very possibly be in the same, mixed-up condition as the rest of the world. There is a clear cut answer, and only ONE way to be baptized. Although Brother Branham spoke on this subject a lot during his ministry, he thoroughly explains it in this message in a way that even the simplest minds can understand it.
This particular message on baptism was not an ordinary service. It was an special private interview that Brother Branham held for a very few blessed brothers and sisters. Now we are among those blessed few who can learn and hear more truth through the Voice of God.
