Why Little Bethlehem

December 14, 1963

Why little Bethlehem, the smallest of all Judaea? When there are princes of other cities in this vast region, why did God choose to send His Son to that place? There were far more religious and historical places for the King to be born. Places like Shiloh, where the ark of the Lord was first pitched. Or a great place like Gilgal or Zion. Why not the proud capital of Jerusalem, the great religious headquarters of the world where all the organizations gathered? Maybe He could have been born in one of the great refuge cities, like Hebron, Kadesh, or Ramoth-gilead, because He was to be our Refuge. But God rejected all these cities.

As always, God has a purpose and a way of doing things that is different than what man thinks it should be. He knows how to do things right from the very beginning. He knew that He said in His own Word, "And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel."

By the mind and help of God, Brother Branham explains why little Bethlehem, and how everything works out exactly right in God's great program. In this message you'll see how God takes the little things and makes them great, and the great things and makes them little. Little Bethlehem became a great place.
