In the past, we've posted several of Brother Branham's favorite recipes, along with recipes we've received through feedback from other young people. Here are some tasty treat recipes you can snack on while fellowshipping with friends and family.

Be sure to send us some of your favorite recipes to post on the web for others to enjoy, whether it be a full course meal or a satisfying dessert. Don't be shy about getting into mom's or grandma's recipe book.

Y.F., this is one of my favorite recipes. Sincerely, Sarah.

Stuffed Jalapenos

  • 20- fresh firm jalapenos, halved, seeds removed, please use gloves, as they can burn hands, don't touch eyes
  • 2- 8 oz. boxes cream cheese, room temp
  • 5- strips crisp fried bacon, crumbled
  • 1-lb. lean sausage, crumble while cooking, drain well
  • 3- cloves raw garlic, chopped finely
  • 1/4- cup celantro leaves, finely chopped
  • 2- tbsp. dried parsley
  • 1- tsp. cumin
  • 1- tsp. onion powder

Mix together well, the cream cheese, crumbled bacon, crumbled sausage, chopped garlic, chopped celantro, dried parsley, cumin, and onion powder. Fill the jalapeno halves with the mixture. Cook covered on low heat, in a non-stick pan for 60 min. Makes 40 halves.

Here is a recipe I like to make for a snack. My name is Joanna, and I am 11 years old.

Peanut Butter Balls

  • 2 lb.(1 bag) of 10 x sugar
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/4 lb. margarine or butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups peanut butter

Mix all ingredients well in mixer. Roll into small balls. Roll balls in granulated sugar. Lay out on pan or in container. Refrigerate until chilled. Enjoy!

I have two recipes to share.

Recipe 1: Crunch

  • 2 cups of oatmeal
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp of salt
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of melted butter or magarine
  • 1 tsp of vanilla

Combine oats, baking soda, and salt. Add sugar and mix together. Add melted butter and vanilla. Blend thoroughy. Spread mixture thinly into 8 X 8" pan or double the recipe to fit into 9 X 13" pan (ungreased pans) Press down hard. Put in the oven at 300 degrees for 20 minutes. When Crunch is baked let it cool five minutes and then cut into bars. Cool totally for a yummy treat.

Recipe 2: Cheese and Carrot Dip

  • 2 large carrots
  • 200g cheddar cheese
  • 100g mayonnaise
  • 30ml ketchup
  • dippers

Coarsely grate the carrots and cheese and place them in a large bowl. Add the mayonnaise and ketchup and mix everything together thoroughly. If the mixure seems too thick, you can stir in a little milk. Spoon the mixture into a serving bowl and sit this on a large plate on which you can arrange your dippers. These could include carrots and celery sticks, potatoe chips, bread sticks, and your favourite savoury bicuits.

Hope you like it!

God bless, Abbey
