A Rare Find Friday, January 08, 2010

Sometimes when we least expect it, we are approached with a question or comment concerning our faith. For sisters, this may happen more often because they stand out in a crowd with their godly apparel. This story simply shows that people notice the way you dress, sisters. Your holy life and godly appearance is a testimony you should proudly display wherever you go. Always remember that people are watching to see if your life matches your testimony.

May the Lord richly bless you!

I wanted to share a small experience that happened a couple of weeks ago, to encourage other sisters like me that dress decently when the worldly fashion is everywhere.

A couple of weeks ago, I got out of the bus and I was heading home. A woman called me to ask me something. I turned back and answered her question, and we continued walking side by side without talking. Then she turned to me and said "I think you're very pretty," and she continued on, "It's rare nowadays to see people dressed decently."

I then realized how people notice the way we dress, and that it touches some of them, even though they don't always stop to tell us. Even if it wasn't the first time a situation like that happened to me, it still encouraged me to continue on. So, sisters, being decent isn't just a way of dressing, it's a testimony to show the world that we are of a different kind, that we are true Christians.

I hope this touches you hearts, and may the Lord bless and protect you until He comes to bring us Home.

Your sister in Christ.

You know, now, this is kind of a little bit hard. But you are the only Bible that many people will ever read, you Christians. Your life is the only Bible that men, a lot of men and women, will ever read, just the way you act and do. So Christians are supposed to be a living example of what Christ is. And if Christ is in the human heart, then He will certainly live His own life, for Christ is in you. And the Spirit of Christ be in you, then you become a new creature. 55-0403
