Demonology, Religious Realm
June 09, 1953
As sure as there is a true Gospel, there is a false gospel. If there is a true baptism, there is a false baptism. For every make belief, there is a real. For every day, there is night. Heaven is just as real as hell. And as sure as there is Jesus Christ, there is a devil.
Saul of the Old Testament sought a woman with a familiar spirit and found the Witch of Endor who called up the spirit of Samuel. Brother Branham said she was a demon, but she was in close contact with the spirit world. Jesus encountered demon spirits on many occasions during his short time on earth. Today there are still witches, or mediums, that are demon possessed and actively working to pervert and impersonate the true Spirit of God. Brother Branham was challenged by many of these during his ministry. In this message, he brings out the importance of knowing what demons are and the truth and error of the matter. They are so close to the real thing, but you’ve got to separate them. We're so thankful that Brother Branham teaches us the cunning ways of the devil so that we might overcome the adversaries of this evil age.
And the same thing today, they're looking over the top of the real thing. Hallelujah. That's right. I know that God's here this afternoon, and I know I'm taking a lot of your time, but you got to see this, friends. If I never see you again, you got to know what demons are, and you got to know what truth and error is. And it's so close, you got to separate the thing.
Now, remember, it ain't going to be out there, something way over on this side like the Pharisees, or something way back on that side. It's right up here in the door, right near it. Watch it.
In this Message, Brother Branham shares a heart touching story, "The Miracle of Donny Morton," and how it was publicized in a 1952 Reader's Digest issue. We were able to locate the issue with this story in it, and have attached a PDF copy for you to read. CLICK HERE to view it.
