This is a "Jesus Jar Testimony" we received from a small outpost of believers in Trinidad, West Indies, who have truly "Caught The Vision." It inspired us to see the love and unity they have amongst themselves to take part in such a work and support the spreading of this End-Time Message.
Our Precious Brother Joseph,
God richly bless you, the VGR and Young Foundations team. We deeply respect, acknowledge and believe the things that Brother Branham spoke throughout the Message concerning your life and calling. We wanted to share with you all a little testimony of the impact your efforts have made in our lives.
It has only been in recent times that our little fellowship has been enlightened about the great work that VGR is doing all around the world. By visiting VGR’s website, we have been inspired by the testimonies and projects, especially the JESUS JAR and LIGHTHOUSE projects. We have a little Sunday School class of about 15-20 children (0-15years) and when we saw what tremendous affect the unified efforts of children and young adults was having on the missionary field, we felt inspired to join our hands with yours.
When we shared with the parents and believers the testimonies from the site, and related how we also desired to become involved in the Jesus Jar project, the response was overwhelming. Not only the children, but the young adults and parents, even elders were excited.
After viewing your “BIBLE CRAFT DAY” on the site, we felt that it would be wonderful to have a day where parents could come with their children to decorate their personal Jesus Jars. The idea was welcomed by all, and we set out to choose a date convenient for this.
We eventually chose Saturday 28th February, 2009 as the day that we would come together to do this. It was only a couple days before this Saturday that we realized that this date was when the Supernatural Cloud, formed by the wings of seven angles who had ascended after speaking with Brother Branham, was photographed at sunset over Flagstaff, AZ.
We were humbled to see how the Lord Jesus chose this for us, that while we remember on this day His face appeared in the sky, His face (Hoffman’s Head of Christ) would also appear on earth on our little Jesus Jars, some 46 years later. We decided to call it “Jesus Jar Day.”
That Saturday 28th morning was spent looking for jars for those who needed, and at about 5:00pm everyone gathered at our church to personalize their jars.
The evening was wonderful and rewarding, to see the excitement on the children’s faces and the bonding between parents and children. Even elders came to decorate their jars also. We even had a little cake and ice cream treat for everyone afterwards.
We decided that after each one carried their jars home with them, after every 2 months from this date (28th Feb), we would gather all our jars and use its contents to support the lighthouse projects or some missionary efforts of VGR.
On Tuesday 28th April (2 months later), all the children, parents and other believers gathered around 6:00pm at our church with Jesus Jars in hand. It was an evening of singing and rejoicing, and our highlight was when the children, young adults and others all came up in little groups to empty their personal jars into one large Jesus Jar from where we were able to count and make our collective contribution.
We were never privileged to be there to support Brother Branham when he was bringing this life-giving Message to us, but we are thankful that VGR has opened up a channel that we can still support “his meetings”. We pray that the Lord would help us to sustain our unified commitment to the cause of Christ, the Message, in search of that last predestinated seed of God.
We have included a couple of pictures that were taken on our “Jesus Jar Day” and also on our return after 2 months.
Our prayers are with you all,
Love in Christ,
Point Fortin Tabernacle, Trinidad
