Perfect Timing Monday, May 18, 2009

Satan is always trying to throw stumbling blocks in the way of God's children, but he doesn't always come out on top. This young brother had a serious medical problem that could've prevented him from coming to Jeffersonville for Easter this year, but God held off the flare up so he could share the blessing with believers from around the world. All things happen for a reason and according to God's perfect timing.

I wanted to share this testimony with you.

Late one Thursday night(April 16), I woke up with a sharp pain in the lower right area of my stomach. We were trying to decide whether or not to go to the hospital. My parents and I then said a word of prayer so that we could know what to do for sure. The Lord answered us by making me fall back asleep very fast with very little pain.

The next morning, I woke up and the pain had gotten worse again. We decided to call the doctor for an appointment at eight A.M. The doctor checked me and said that my appendix was probably inflamed and it was best to go to the Emergency Room. As soon as we got out of the doctor's office, we headed straight for the hospital. Meanwhile, my mom let my dad know I was at the hospital and so he got out of work. My dad called a lot of brothers from the church and elsewhere to let them know about me.

At the hospital, they put me in a hallway room because all the private rooms were taken. The nurses started me on IV therapy and took blood tests. The doctors confirmed that I needed surgery as soon as possible because my appendix was mildly inflamed. In the afternoon, the surgeon and his staff talked with us and prepared me for surgery. The surgery went very well, and I was taken to a private room where I spent the night.

The surgeon and all the hospital staff was very well trained and assisted me in all my needs. I know the Lord was there to protect me, and He knew when the right time for surgery was. The Lord also prevented me from getting this pain during the Easter gathering. Days before the gathering I did have some stomach pain, but that subsided because the Lord wanted me to go to Jeffersonville. I was in very good health there, and I had a great time at the banquet and a blessing at the service.

Now I am recovering from the surgery and Lord willing I will go back to my regular schedule soon.

God Bless You
