2009 YF Easter Banquet
Saturday, April 11, 2009
Anticipation was high as young ladies and gentlemen strolled into the banquet hall last night. At any given table there were brothers and sisters from Canada, Mexico, France, and a host of other countries and states. Language was only a slight barrier, as the youth spoke of this wonderful Message that we share.
The tables were dressed in green, decorations were green, and even the candy at the old-fashioned candy buffet was green. This was part of the theme to remember Brother Branham's 100th birthday. "Why green?" you ask... It was Brother Branham's favorite color.
Brother Isaac Branham welcomed the audience, and after everyone was well fed, Brother Tshingbangu from the jungles of Congo spoke. Brother Tshingbangu is a true missionary, in every sense of the word. He was raised in the jungles and even today, has a burning desire to spread the Message of the Hour to his people.
Brother Tshingbangu challenged the audience with the question, "What is your problem? With the Message that was given to us, why do we worry?" He spoke with the sincerity of a man who must trust our Lord. Brother Tshingbangu told of being spared of a lion attack and spending months on a small boat delivering Message books. It was certainly a humbling experience for this young audience.
We are expecting the Lord to do great things at the youth service tonight.
