We hope this testimony will be a blessing to you. It proves once again that our Heavenly Father is in control of EVERY situation.
It was the beginning of the month and I had just bought my monthly pass for commuting on the train from New York City to New Jersey. It was on a Wednesday and I was rushing home after work, as I was expecting a delivery. When I got on the train to New Jersey, I realized that I did not have my pass, so I had to pay cash for my fare. So while I was sitting on the train going home, I thought to myself, "This is just the beginning of the month, I cannot have lost the pass, because it is as good as losing all the money for transportation to and from work for the month." I wished I could go back and retrace my footsteps so that hopefully I could find it before too much time had gone, but I was on my way home and there was no turning back until the next day. So I asked God to keep me calm and focused on the task that was ahead of me.
Then I remembered a testimony that a sister had shared in church, of how she had gone to the grocery store and bought some things but she arrived home and realized that she was missing a bag. So she decided to go back to the store, and she found her bag in the cart because nobody had moved it. If God could do it for the sister, He can do it for me. He can keep my monthly pass intact wherever it is until I get there, because I serve a God who does not change.
I went home that evening and committed it in prayer again. I said, "I know the street is Broadway and it is so busy, and it seems impossible that I would find it considering the number of people who walk by, or the fact that the streets may have been cleaned, or even the weather conditions. If somebody finds it, I do not even have a phone number on it for it to be returned to me. But I believe that I will find it despite the conditions."
The next morning while going to work, as soon as I got off the Subway train, I walked to the booth to ask the attendant if someone had brought in a lost-and-found NJ Transit Train Pass. She told me that none had been turned in. I asked myself, "Where do I start looking for it?" Then I remembered that I had to cross the street to the other side, because that is where I would have caught my train going home. I walked out, and I was crossing the street to go and ask the other attendant if someone had turned the pass in. As soon as I was on the other side, before I walked down the stairs to the booth where the other attendant was, my eyes went straight to the newspaper boxes at the corner of the entrance of the Subway train. When I looked down, I saw a white piece of paper the size of the pass. I said to myself, "That looks like an NJ Transit Pass." When I picked it up and turned it on the other side, it was my pass as good as new, not a drop of water on it, not a scratch, not a footstep, and on a very busy street. But God was mindful to keep it in a corner overnight and to open my eyes so that I could see it the next day, and so that I do not have to strain my budget in the course of the month. I was excited, and I just said thank you God.
I am very grateful to God for all that He has done for me, all that He is doing, and all that He will do for me. And not only for me, but in the lives of brothers and sisters all over to manifest His Word. All the glory and honor goes to Him.
