Young Foundations department was just in its infancy in the summer of 2006. But it wasn’t long before Brother Joseph’s long-felt burden and inspiration for the young believers of the world rapidly spread. Now the number of YF members has grown into the thousands, and groups of young believers from all walks of life send in reports on a daily basis of the events and activities they hold. Below is yet another report of a gathering for the youth in Tucson, AZ.
Greetings from Voice of God Fellowship:
In November, we hosted a gathering for the children and their families. It was a day of fun, food, and fellowship. A couple of the young couples made a fishing booth as well as a wet sponge throw game. There were three brothers who graciously donated their heads as targets. In addition to these games, there was a bean bag toss, a three legged race, two piñatas, and volleyball games.
It was difficult to decide who enjoyed the cotton candy more, the children or the brothers who operated the cotton candy machine. Each family brought food to share, and the Lord blessed us with perfect weather.
The children dressed as Bible characters and memorized a verse or clue. The parents called out their guesses as to the identity of each child as they took the microphone and recited their verse or clue. There were dozens of different Bible characters as well as a few of the church age messengers; including Martin Luther, John Wesley, and Brother Branham. Children from Tucson, Case Grande, Wilcox, and Sierra Vista participated.
We were inspired by all that you do for the young ones back there and hope that we can follow your lead in hosting other activities for the children, young adults, and their families here in Tucson and the surrounding area.
Thank you for your inspiration and example, and God bless you.
