Turn On The Light

January 25, 1964

Early one summer morning in August, 1963, the largest train robbery in British history took place. A traveling post office train routing from Glasgow to Euston, England was given a false light signal. A band of 15 robbers had tampered with the signals by covering the green light to continue in route and replacing it with a false red light to stop. It took no more than a small battery to power this false light, and not a single gun was fired when they ransacked the train for seven-million dollars in a matter of minutes.

“The Great Train Robbery,” as it is so called, brings a good type to today’s age of false spiritual lights.

Brother Branham said,

“That was known as the greatest robbery that was ever done by robbers, in the natural. It robbed the world, of its greatest robbery. And the greatest robbery that was ever done to the church of Jesus Christ, is done by false light, a glare of some other age, and rejecting the Light that's predicted for this age. Amen. False light, a glare of yesterday! Don't walk in the glare of yesterday. Walk in the warmth of the Son today.”

God has given us a true Light to walk in today, but the devil has placed so many false, unnatural lights in our paths to distract us from this one Truth. We must let the Gospel Light of God’s Word shine forth in our lives and fill every fiber of our beings in order for these false lights to vanish. Just as it took no more than the flash of a red light to deceive those who operated the train, it takes no more than one false impression of God’s Word to deceive man's carnal nature. That’s why it’s so important that we cling to the Light God has given us for this age. Hold to God’s unchanging hand!
