A Super Sign
December 27, 1959
Nimrod determined one day to build a tower that would reach beyond the clouds and spare him from the wrath of God. But it was brought to naught by a confusion of tongues!
It was Nebuchadnezzar who built the towering walls of Babylon. His people thought they were secure, but the handwriting appeared on the wall, and all their greatness was ended!
The Titanic was thought to be an unsinkable masterpiece, as it roared through the great Atlantic on its maiden voyage the 15th of April, 1912. But it sank!
Adolf Hitler poured tons and tons of steel and cement to build the impenetrable Siegfried Line in the late 30’s. But Germany was defeated and only fragments of the wall remain today!
Such triumph and yet defeat is put into perfect perspective by Brother Branham:
Oh, how man has tried to carry man to safety, to push himself on to safety by his own signs of achievement. It seems like, because that men seek for a sign, there must be some reason for it, something within a man that would call for a reason or a sign from somewhere, that he could be safe. 59-1227M
From ancient Bible history to modern events of today, this remains the case. Man still attempts to find safety behind his own works. But God provided the perfect sign that can quench all thirst for carnal achievements, if only the people will accept it.
Then God spoke up, said, "I'll give them an everlasting sign. I'll give the church an everlasting sign." It wasn't to be a great wall or a tower. He said, "A virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and call His Name Immanuel." That will be God's eternal sign." How simple, how little. 59-1227M 59-1227M
God could have brought this sign to earth with a mighty sounding trumpet as a proclamation of His Gift to men, but He didn’t. He could’ve brought it to the religious capital of the world with great pomp and dignity, but He didn’t. God’s Gift to men was brought in such a humble, simple way, that few even recognized when It arrived.

Immanuel was born through a humble virgin. The God of Heaven became dust, “the very dust of His own creation” to dwell with us. “That’s the Super Sign,” and the reason for the Christmas Gift of Christ in our hearts today.
Just as we did last year, we will play this Christmas message for the entire month of December. We will post a second set of 20 questions halfway through the month, so be sure to be on the look out. We pray it will bless your hearts and allow you to look at the Christ in Christmas in a new and rejuvenating way.
