Thanksgiving 2008

We often ponder the many blessings in our lives during the Thanksgiving season and all the things we ought to be thankful for. Below is a short testimony concerning the thoughts of one individual and the realization he came to.
Late the other night, I was lying in bed and thinking about the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday. I thought, “What is Thanksgiving really about? What am I thankful for? Is it church? Is it my family and my job? Is it the revelation that God’s given me of His Word, and this Message? All those things I’m thankful for, but where did it all come from?” Then I looked up on my wall. There hung a picture of Christ carrying the Cross. I smiled, as I could feel the tears of joy and thankfulness building in my heart. “That’s it,” I thought. “That’s what it’s all about. That’s where it all originated from. If it weren’t for Christ Jesus bearing the Cross and dying for my sins, then I would have nothing in the world to be thankful for.” Christ is the root of my blessings, my testimony, my family, and everything else in my life. Who else could I turn too but Him?
Young Foundations and Voice Of God Recordings would like to wish you all a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving. How thankful we should be for the love and saving grace of a merciful Father. What greater thing is there to be thankful for?
This Thanksgiving, let’s go back to the foundation of who we are, what we have, and Who gave it to us. We are sons and daughters of God, let’s thank Him for it.
God richly bless you is our prayer.
