eleven eleven

On November eleventh, 1918, the war to end all wars was raging on. For four years now, the battlefields had been bathed with the blood of an estimated ten million soldiers.
This day on the western front didn’t seem different than that of any other. The soldiers on all sides slept restlessly through the preceding night, as had been most nights throughout the war, and woke to the usual mortars and bullets pounding the rubble and bodies deeper into the mourning earth. The accustomed hope of death and gloom surrounded all present near the battlefields and tormented the carnal minds of the weary soldiers. Both sides seemed to endlessly, and mercilessly fire upon one another. There was no hope in sight for the end. It was a time when the fighting appeared to be at its peak. It was as if every bullet and round of ammunition possessed by the opposing armies was being unleashed. Then, all at once, a hush came over the battlefield. Almost instantly shots ceased to be fired!
Below is an account from a veteran of World War One who was an eye witness on the western front during this memorable day of our nation's history.
Something miraculous and completely out of the ordinary took place. A heavenly noise in the skies above captured the attention of the fighting soldiers on all sides. Holy Angels sang out, and a hush came over the battle grounds. The presence and sight of God’s mighty Angels did not go unnoticed or unfelt. It was as if they were sent from God to say “enough fighting.” Not a shot was fired. There was a silence in the air that had not been heard for over four years. Both armies were paralyzed with a fear and awe that struck deep, yet mysteriously in their hearts. There was a wave of brotherly love that none could deny. They could no longer fight. Both sides threw down their arms with tears steaming down their faces and met in the center of the battlefield to embrace one another as brothers. The fighting had finally ended on the bloody western front.
The war was over, and the time in which it occurred was precise through that of God’s Divine nature. It was the eleventh month of the eleventh day of the eleventh hour, and Brother Branham even said the eleventh minute. When the war so suddenly ended, troops and civilians around the world were puzzled at its almost unbelievable halt.
As one journalist explained the event: WITH THE AMERICAN ARMY IN FRANCE, Nov. 11 -- They stopped fighting at 11 o'clock this morning. In a twinkling, four years of killing and massacre stopped as if God had swept His omnipotent finger across the scene of world carnage and had cried "Enough." - The New York Times, By Edwin L. James
The man who witnessed this phenomenon was a God fearing man who later heard of Brother Branham. He was one of the Americans present on the western front battlefield that eleventh day of November, 1918. He witnessed the angels singing in the heavens above. He felt the brotherly love that caused hatred and killing to cease and peace to enter in.
It’s wonderful to hear how the account of an eyewitness relates to what Brother Branham tells us on the tapes. Many thought that this war would lead to the destruction and end of mankind, but truly God’s Angels were holding up the four corners of the earth to keep certain destruction from happening. It was not yet time; God still had us in His master plan and He cried out “Enough.” How thankful we are that God spared the world so that our generation could live to see the glory and grace of His Majesty in this last age of time.
Brother Branham said: Look, God over-shooting now, saying, "Hold these wars here; don't let total destruction, total annihilation come until we have sealed a hundred and forty-four thousand Jews." Then at that time... Oh, watch what taken place. All the world was going to war; and all of a sudden, it stopped. And I've read the decline of the World War One. No man knows today why it stopped; no man give any orders for it to stop. But it was stopped on November the eleventh (That right?), the eleventh month in the year, the eleventh hour in the day, the eleventh minute after eleven. What was it? That the eleventh hour people could come in. He said, "Some come in at one received the penny," and on down. And the eleventh hour people got the same kind of a penny that they got at the beginning--eleventh hour people. The Seal Of Christ 55-0312
Remember the soldiers of our country this Veterans Day. Many have fought and died to protect and free this great nation that we live in, and they deserve our respects this November eleventh. More notably, don’t forget the veterans of the Cross of Jesus Christ; countless have served and died in the army of God to protect this glorious Gospel so that we could live free from the sin of this world.
