Uplifting Praise

A few days ago, some of our Jeffersonville youth group paid a surprise visit to Sister Collins in the nursing home. She was placed there several weeks ago for rehabilitation after a fall that left her with some broken bones.
Brother Collins (the pastor of the Branham Tabernacle and the husband of Sister Collins) was keeping us updated at the Tabernacle on Sister Collins' recovery. He had mentioned how anxious she was to get back in church and play the organ again. For many years now, Sister Collins has faithfully been at her post of duty playing the organ for us. So a small group decided to give a blessing in return by showing up at her nursing home room and singing some old hymns.

It was such a blessing to see the joy we brought to Sister Collins as we sang. She looked so happy and precious while she worshiped the Lord with us. We sang several songs for her and then asked if she had any request. While she was pondering which song to have us sing, Brother Collins told us the amazing testimony how God touched Sister Collins body and gave her the strength to walk again. The doctors said she could possibly get to go home sometime soon. Sister Collins was quick to tell us that it wouldn't be long before she was back in church. It blessed our hearts so much to hear this and of her unwavering faith in God.

Sister Collins then sweetly said “I like Amazing Grace, could you sing that one.” We gladly sang this cherished song, along with a few others, before we said our goodbyes and God bless you to Brother and Sister Collins.
We pray that God continues to give Sister Collins strength so that she can come back to church again, and so Brother Collins, as he told us, won’t have to stay in such a quiet house any longer.

God bless you Brother and Sister Collins, and thank you for all you’ve done for us over the years.
P.S. We just found out this past Sunday that Sister Collins has safely made it home. Praise the Lord!
