A Young Person's Check Testimony Monday, November 24, 2008

Here is a testimony we received:

Dear Young Foundations,

Over the past several weeks, I have noticed the "Check has been cashed" testimonies on the VGR website, and my family has read many of them aloud. They greatly encouraged and blessed us. Little did I know, I would soon be writing one myself!

Not long after the testimonies were posted, I began having severe tooth pain. Now, I have had a lot of trouble with my teeth in the past, mainly because they simply came in wrong. The hard, shiny enamel coating that is the teeth's natural protection against cavities, sensitivity, etc., did not come on many of my teeth. I had trouble with painful sensitivity before, but this new pain was awful. I had been on a constant round of ibuprofen for about two days when my mother scheduled an appointment for the following week to see a dentist about 35 miles away. It kept getting worse that week until even cool air coming in contact with my teeth would make my front teeth throb and hurt so bad.

We finally made it up to the dentist, and after an x-ray, the dentist told us that the tooth had the beginnings of infection near the nerve. We were told that if we let it go and did nothing, in two weeks it would turn into an abscess, and would swell up, and hurt much worse than it did now. Then it would have to be pulled. So basically, we were facing oral surgery in a city halfway across the state. To cap it all off, our house sold just as this was happening. We went home and my dad said, "Well, it's interesting those check testimonies were posted just as this happened...." We filled out a check for the total healing of my teeth, and my family gathered around and prayed for me. In a couple of days, the pain was totally gone. It has now been over two weeks, and my teeth are still pain-free. And there is no swelling! The check is posted on the bulletin board in our family room.

Praise God for the wonderful care He takes of His children. And thank you VGR, for sending my family those checks.
